Position 
The Director of Strategy will be responsible for leading and executing operational strategic initiatives. You’ll provide strategic guidance and financial analysis to help identify and evaluate potential sales, investment, and development projects/opportunities. This position will also be called upon for P&L ownership to augment our leadership team and to provide oversight as NTx expands its existing markets and commercializes in new areas.     
The ideal candidate is a strong strategy consultant with an MBA and experience in house at a major pharmaceutical/biotech corporation. The role is highly visible, reporting directly to the CEO, and is highly integrative across multiple business disciplines.

This role is open to being remote and will require travel to Albuquerque. 
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Support the CEO in formulating and driving strategic priorities for the company;
  • Perform in-depth research and analysis of relevant global markets, generating market and business insights to inform business strategy;
  • Evaluate markets and customers to support R&D and product development efforts;
  • Develop market demand and market share forecasts to inform quarterly business reviews, annual budgeting, and forecasting efforts;
  • Work closely with the Business Development team on customer support & engagement to understand where impact is highest;
  • Execute high-impact initiatives (e.g., fundraising strategy);
  • Produce strategy reporting documents and other ad-hoc analyses for the executive leadership team and the board of directors;
  • Support CEO in fundraising and/or board support;
  • Lead or support other special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Candidate Background

  • 5+ years of strategy consulting experience at top tier consulting firm;
  • 5+ years of in-house experience at a pharmaceutical/biotech corporation;
  • MBA preferred;
  • VC/PE experience very useful;
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to act as a thought partner to leaders across the organization;
  • Experience managing senior-level stakeholders with minimal guidance;
  • Ability to dive into and tackle an array of unpredictable challenges;
  • Experience designing and implementing metrics and KPIs across a business;
  • Expert at Excel and PowerPoint;
