Who are we looking for

We are hiring a Global Strategy Director to collaborate with the Jordan Leadership Team in developing and executing long-term strategies and building integrated plans. This role will identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities and drive action through the business planning processes.  

What you will work on

As a Global Strategy Director, you will be responsible for helping lead the strategic planning process, authoring strategic plans, and serve as a critical thought partner to the Jordan Leadership Team to explore complex business issues. In addition, you will lead a team that drives strategic initiatives aligned to the types of work streams below:

  • Build Integrated Growth Plans – Drive integrated actions that position the Jordan consumer at the center and drive profitable growth.  Help leaders solve their most pressing strategic questions via long term growth plans. Complete rigorous strategic analysis and synthesize insights into strategic recommendations for considerations by the Jordan Leadership Team.
  • Develop Future Strategies – Identify future Jordan Brand growth opportunities. Develop frameworks, analysis, and critical thinking to drive Jordan’s most promising growth opportunities. Scope the work, define work streams, and serve as overall project quarterback.
  • Assess Impact – Diagnose results aligned to the plan & prioritize future actions. Support the Jordan Leadership Team in communicating strategies across the broader organization and develop KPIs to measure success.

As the Director of Global Jordan Strategy, in addition to driving specific strategic projects, you will also lead a manager, own their development, scope and assign projects, set annual goals, deliver on-time and quarterly feedback, and assess their performance.

What you bring to Nike

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • 9+ years of proven experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or investment banking
  • Apparel/footwear, retail, merchandising, and/or experience in consumer facing industries and proven understanding of the competitive landscape / retail marketplace
  • Experience in leading sophisticated strategic projects and proven success in leading a methodical process of analyzing problems, gathering information, generating options, then proposing and acting on a course of action
  • Consistent track record of cross functional leadership amongst diverse individuals with different goals
  • Proficiency in business communication tools and verbal/written storytelling + communication to promote conceptual understanding and mobilize change through storytelling
  • Presentation prowess and proficient leveraging tools such as Keynote
  • Bias towards action and comfortable working in ambiguous environments, and ability to work through complexity & adversity
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • A curious mind and growth-oriented
