About the Position
As the Director of Sales Performance & Operations, you will be a key architect of FiscalNote’s sales strategy, ensuring that our sales organization is scalable, efficient, and aligned with corporate growth objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will lead a team responsible for optimizing sales processes, driving revenue acceleration, and ensuring cross-functional alignment with Finance, Marketing, and Business Intelligence. Your leadership will enhance sales performance, improve decision-making through data-driven insights, and refine sales operations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

The Sales Operations team is the engine behind FiscalNote’s sales success. This team ensures that our go-to-market strategy is informed by data, optimized for performance, and aligned with key business objectives. By partnering with key stakeholders across the organization, we drive predictable revenue growth, operational efficiency, and strategic execution.
About You
You are a strategic leader with deep expertise in sales operations, revenue strategy, and data-driven decision-making in high-growth environments. Your ability to translate complex sales data into actionable insights enables the organization to scale effectively. You are highly collaborative, comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives, and adept at managing high-impact projects. Your leadership style fosters continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within your team.
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - 145,000 per year.
What to Expect in this Position
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement a scalable, data-driven sales strategy to optimize revenue growth.
- Align sales objectives with Finance, Marketing, and Business Intelligence to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution.
- Drive sales performance forecasting, leveraging analytics to inform decision-making and resource allocation.
- Define key sales KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring visibility and accountability across the organization.
- Partner with leadership to refine territory planning, quota setting, and sales compensation models to maximize impact.
- Sales Operations & Process Optimization
- Develop and continuously improve sales processes, automation, and enablement tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee pipeline management, deal governance, and pricing strategies to drive revenue consistency.
- Optimize CRM (Salesforce) and other sales tools to ensure a seamless sales workflow and accurate reporting.
- Establish clear operational frameworks to reduce friction in the sales cycle and accelerate deal velocity.
- Data-Driven Insights & Performance Management
- Lead advanced sales analytics and reporting, translating data into strategic insights that drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards that provide sales leaders with actionable intelligence.
- Conduct predictive modeling and resource planning to optimize sales productivity and scalability.
- Monitor key performance trends, identifying opportunities for process improvement and revenue maximization.
- Sales Talent Development & Enablement
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Sales Leadership to ensure a strong pipeline of high-performing sales talent.
- Enhance onboarding, training, and development programs, reducing ramp time for new sales hires.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring sales teams are equipped to succeed.
- Implement succession planning and career progression frameworks for sales leadership roles.
What Sets You Apart
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue strategy, or go-to-market optimization, preferably in SaaS or information services.
- Proven ability to design and execute scalable sales processes and operational strategies.
- Expertise in sales analytics, forecasting, and financial modeling (Excel, Tableau, SQL).
- Strong leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce) and sales enablement technologies.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills, with a data-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and lead through change in fast-paced environments.
