Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide technical support to Innovation, Product Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Care and
Operations on quality related issues. Manage Quality team resources in order to support new
and existing products, processes, and compliance deliverables. Support Operations in
continuous improvement initiatives; Coordinate Plant and Support area Total Cost of Quality
(TCQ) reporting; Facilitate Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) completion and
communication.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage Advanced Quality Planning activities while prioritizing New Product and Process
launches.
• Manage APQP activities to ensure completed on time to support launches, new product
innovation, and process innovation.
• Identify and prioritize process improvement and control (method/equip/system) activities to
ensure completed on time to deliver impact to TCQ goals.
• Identify and implement prevention actions and communicate across all sites.
• Implement and communicate error-proofing solutions across all sites.
• Ensure TCQ data delivering is accurate and timely.
• Champion Quality Management System (QMS) for Cabinetworks Group and responsible for
systems auditing.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• 7-10 years in product development and manufacturing quality
• Minimum 5 years management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Thorough knowledge and demonstrated skill in quality management and improvement
practices
• Knowledge of product development and manufacturing activities including validation and
verification processes; DOE; SPC; FMEA; Good Laboratory Practices
• Experience developing and managing ISO9000 (or equivalent) QMS
• Analytical skills for successful evaluation of product quality status and needs
• Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make independent judgments regarding technical issues
• Ability to work in an office, lab, and indoor industrial environment with cross functional teams
• Strong background in problem solving techniques utilizing scientific approach to problem
resolution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Master’s degree
• Six Sigma certification
• CQE/CQM or equivalent is desired
• Experience in cabinetry or furniture industry
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing Plant environment
