Make Your Mark:
The Director, Professional Services (Intercompany) is a key leadership position within the Professional Services organization. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of client onboarding, implementation, and post-go-live services with a specialized focus on Blackline's Intercompany Solution. While the primary focus is on the Americas, there is potential for global responsibility as the role evolves.
You will drive operational excellence by ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction throughout the customer lifecycle. You will have P&L responsibility for a portion of the Professional Services group, overseeing financial performance and delivering against quarterly and annual financial and operational goals.
This leader will lead a team responsible for Blackline's Intercompany solution implementation services to both new and existing customers, as well as supporting partner-led implementations. The Director is accountable for driving consulting utilization, optimizing revenue, and ensuring successful project delivery. The role also involves collaborating with other regional leaders (EMEA and APAC) to align processes and drive global standardization.
This position requires close collaboration with Sales, Client Support, Customer Success, and other internal teams to ensure an integrated and exceptional customer experience.
You'll Get To:
- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership focused on intercompany solution delivery.
- Develop and implement scalable processes and methodologies to drive growth, improve efficiency, and enhance client outcomes.
- Collaborate with global Professional Services leaders in EMEA and APAC to ensure alignment and standardization of intercompany implementation best practices.
- Own P&L responsibility for a portion of the Professional Services group, ensuring achievement of revenue targets and operational KPIs.
- Monitor and support leaders to achieve Professional Services KPIs (time to value, utilization targets, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, etc.).
- Prepare the team to handle complex intercompany deployments while optimizing for efficiency on less complex engagements.
- Act as the final escalation point for project issues, providing expertise and defining recovery plans as needed.
- Ensure successful delivery of intercompany solution implementations and follow-on service engagements, meeting and exceeding client expectations.
- Align with the Partner ecosystem to develop high-quality, scalable service offerings that embrace our delivery methodology and enhance capacity.
- Collaborate with Sales to refine and expand service offerings and proactively engage with clients to drive successful outcomes.
- Partner with Sales, Client Support, Customer Success, and Product Management to ensure alignment on client needs and business objectives.
- Work with external partners to expand delivery capacity and maintain consistent service quality.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance customer experience and drive the adoption of Blackline's intercompany solutions.
What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience in Related Field: 10 years of management experience (staff and budget responsibility); 10 years of experience in SaaS industry; 10 years of experience in a services delivery function with a global enterprise software solutions company
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive experience of ERP and/or financial systems deployments
- Knowledge of project management software such as Certinia PSA
- Knowledge or experience with CRM tools, such as Salesforce
Other:
- Demonstrated strategic thinker with a track record of scaling and profitably growing a professional services business focused on predictable implementation.
- Proven ability to drive organizational change and align teams to meet corporate and departmental objectives.
- Ability to scale a professional services organization to meet aggressive annual growth targets.
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a team of managers and individual contributors.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to C-level executives and external clients.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects while meeting deadlines.
- Experience scoping and estimating project efforts, documenting solutions in Statements of Work (SOWs), and presenting to customers.

- CPA preferred, or similar accounting certification.

Salary Range:
USD $213,000.00 - USD $218,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
