Our team is looking for an experienced Director, Product Operations to lead our growing operations team in the Product organization . This Director will lead and mentor a team of product operation managers and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful customer outcomes.
The Role
In this role, you'll partner with product management, user experience, engineering, and other stakeholders to:

  • Reinforce and execute initiatives that support the product strategy, prioritizing projects that improve performance metrics
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by enhancing or establishing business systems and processes
  • Conduct regular analyses of operational landscape and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Determine and support resourcing requirements to meet business goals


A snapshot of the work you'll be doing:
As Director, Product Operations you will report to our Chief Product Officer, and be instrumental in helping us create high functioning product teams across multiple Rapid7 solutions.
You and your team's major areas of impact will be:

  • Develop a positive work culture that breeds collaboration, team camaraderie and a high level of accountability in meeting our customer outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategic projects to enable the Product organization to work at speed and scale
  • Manage and administer tooling (e.g., Jira, Tableau etc.) to enhance visibility and enable decision making
  • Manage and administer the quarterly planning processes for Product
  • Establish and manage relationships across functions to enable fluid communications between teams
  • Assist the Chief Product Officer with managing the Product budget
  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Operations professionals

The Rest

  • We are looking for a candidate that has roughly 8+ years of relevant experience: this includes 4+ years holding roles managing operations managers and/or data/business analysts.
  • We don't require cybersecurity experience: it's a great asset, but ultimately we're looking for someone with great operations knowledge that can help us plan and execute on large projects that are mission critical for Rapid7
  • We need someone that can travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally: there are team members present across North America and Europe. You'll work directly with team members in Boston, MA; Arlington, VA; Los Angeles, CA; and Belfast, Ireland.
