The Director, Product Marketing, is responsible for leading strategic marketing initiatives for Deal Central, FIIA, Strategic Sales, and Multi-Solution Selling Teams focused on dealer software opportunities for automotive retailers. What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the product marketing team, focusing on strategy, deployment, and optimization across all audience channels.
  • Collaborate with Dealer Sales and key Business Units to develop and deliver customer relationship marketing programs, leveraging customer segmentation and lifecycle management to increase product penetration and customer loyalty across Cox Automotive.
  • Design, build, and lead a team of product marketing professionals, setting clear goals and key results, ensuring communication and progress sharing across the company.
  • Establish areas of excellence within product marketing, including segmentation, personas, workflows, GTM launches, KPIs, and voice of the client to support current and new product launches.
  • Develop Sales Enablement collateral (pitch decks, one-sheeters, product videos, competitor comparisons, etc.) that informs the sales teams of key claims, metrics, and product capabilities that can be leveraged during strategic discussions with retailers.
  • Partner with the Sales Business Office team on training initiatives to increase overall knowledge and product acumen.
  • Work with marketing operations to develop demand generation to execute targeted marketing campaigns aimed at specific customer segments, driving leads to the sales funnel.
  • Analyze programs and spend to find opportunities to improve performance, results, and ROI.
  • Lead proactive communication strategy to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to identify new market opportunities and drive growth.
  • Develop core marketing materials and sales tools to communicate the value proposition of products, solutions, and services.
  • Support the creation of a product marketing playbook to optimize onboarding of new clients.
  • Standardize processes, templates, and ways of working to drive scale, consistency, and quality of product marketing deliverables.
  • Lead agency partners by clearly articulating objectives, goals, and expectations for each project or campaign.
  • Provide comprehensive briefs that outline the target audience, messaging, brand guidelines, and desired outcomes.
  • Foster open and transparent communication channels, encouraging regular updates, feedback, and dialogue throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively address any concerns or issues that arise, working collaboratively with the agency to find solutions and maintain project momentum.
  • Encourage creative brainstorming sessions and idea-sharing to generate innovative campaign concepts and strategies.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on creative work, highlighting what resonates and areas for improvement.
  • Manage a team of product marketers and be intentional about their professional growth opportunities.
  • Travel: 25%

  • Engage key internal stakeholders (executives, functional leaders) to gain required approvals and ensure business alignment across Media.

Who You Are/Qualifications
Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 10 years of experience in Product Marketing, preferably in a mid- to large-size corporation. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years of experience in a related field; or 14 years' experience in a related field with no degree.
  • 5+ years of people management experience; developing, coaching and motivating future marketing leaders
  • 5+ years in a senior marketing leadership role.
  • Experience with B2B Marketing for a company with a portfolio of products/ services
  • Strong analytical skillset.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and other key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Experience planning and overseeing a multi-million-dollar marketing budget.
  • Workload may demand working extended hours as necessary.
  • Travel: 25%

USD 131,600.00 - 219,400.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $131,600.00 - $219,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
