The VP of Product Development will be responsible for managing and directing a team of project managers, product owners and UX designers to scope initiatives and develop user stories for development teams. You will also work closely with members of the business and technology leadership to determine priorities, develop an ongoing product roadmap, and establish delivery timelines. This is an exciting role and opportunity to be a leader in a fast-growing business and have a direct impact on technology direction and growth of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct management of product team inclusive of product owners, managers and UX design resources
  • Interface with business leaders to determine and prioritize initiatives in a product roadmap
  • Developing KPI metrics for each initiative to monitor and measure success of product
  • Refine customer and product requirements and assign them to product features to drive all product development
  • Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
  • Ensure product design is intuitive, user friendly and in line with OTR brand standards
  • Control excessive proliferation of product or feature variants
  • Ensure cross-functional understanding of product features and success criteria
  • Execute and monitor changes with impact analysis to ensure customer needs are met
  • Create an engineering configuration and corresponding Project Requirement Document (PRD) for review, simulation, and validation
  • Reduce product development duration, cost, and risk by reusing proven and standardized product features or 3rd party solutions

  • Experience owning development of product roadmap
  • Experience owning a product function for a technology focused business
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Working experience in design, development, and implementation of product plans.
  • Working experience in full product lifecycle methodologies (10 years)
  • Working experience in creating, prioritizing, and recommending epics and features.
  • Working experience in in conducting competitive research and analysis.
  • Working experience in identifying KPI's and other analytics to measure product value.
  • Working experience with executive presentations.
  • Working experience in a collaborative, cross-functional, and complex team environment.
