Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage top-tier relationships with political agencies, PACs, campaign buyers, and advocacy organizations.
  • Drive multi-platform sales by integrating broadcast, digital, and CTV opportunities to maximize advertiser impact.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Political Sales to refine and expand Nexstar’s political advertising footprint.
  • Oversee a team of Account Executives, ensuring training, performance tracking, and revenue targets are met.
  • Monitor competitive intelligence, analyzing political ad spending trends to identify market opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with FCC regulations, political ad disclosure laws, and Nexstar’s internal policies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience in political ad sales, media buying, or campaign advertising strategy.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and driving revenue growth.
  • Deep industry relationships with political buyers, PACs, and advocacy groups.
  • Expertise in broadcast, digital, and CTV sales, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional negotiation and strategic planning skills, able to close high-stakes deals in fast-moving election cycles.

Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 plus bonus
