About the Role
The Director of People Operations at ID.me will be responsible for leading and managing the HR operations function, which encompasses technology, process optimization, and employment data management. This role will streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and provide the infrastructure needed to scale as ID.me continues to grow. This leader will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Legal, Finance, Accounting, and IT, to ensure that People Operations aligns with the company’s overall strategic goals and remains legally compliant.
The Director will also oversee the HR technology stack, People analytics, employee life cycle administration, and policy development, playing a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and enhancing organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Tech Stack Leadership: Oversee ID.me’s HR technology stack, including platforms such as UKG, CultureAmp, Absorb, Pave, Carta, Sterling, and Greenhouse. Identify gaps in functionality and implement improvements.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage operational ownership of the employee and contractor life cycle, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Finance, Accounting, IT, and other key stakeholders to ensure People processes are comprehensive, business-focused, and legally compliant.
- HR Analytics Development: Build and execute a roadmap for HR analytics, going beyond headcount and attrition metrics. Produce regular reports and presentations on HR trends for senior management and People Teams.
- Leadership and Team Development: Mentor and lead the People Operations team, promoting a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation.Operational
- Excellence: Continuously improve HR processes based on qualitative and quantitative insights. Drive projects focused on operational efficiency, self-service capabilities, and AI-driven solutions.
- Policy and Compliance Management: Develop and maintain HR policies and systems in line with labor laws and regulations. Conduct audits and assessments to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Profile Characteristics
- 10+ years of People Operations leadership experience, preferably in a tech-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring and building high-performing teams.
- Ability to work hands-on and take ownership of complex projects.
- Strong project management capabilities, with a history of successfully driving cross-functional initiatives to completion while identifying areas for automation along the way.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a culture focused on employee experience and delivering a high level of service.
- Experience in driving audit readiness for the People Operations function.
The annual base salary listed below for this role is based on experience, skills, education, relevant training and geographic location. Company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, and benefits are available depending on the role.
