Job Summary

The Director Paid Social Marketing leads strategic planning and execution of paid social campaigns across key platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, X (Twitter), and Snap. This role is pivotal in driving measurable results for national tours, festivals, regional venues, and partnerships, leveraging expertise in social media advertising, audience targeting, optimization, and creative strategies.

Essential Functions

  • Campaign Strategy and Execution: Develop, implement and oversee paid social campaigns across all AEG Presents entities, ensuring alignment with overarching marketing strategies, target audiences, creative strategies and business objectives. Inform social content strategies for ad placements to maximize campaign impact.
  • Technology Integration: Explore, evaluate and integrate new marketing technologies and automation tools to enhance campaign effectiveness, improve measurement capabilities, and drive innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with marketing, creative, data analytics, and product teams to ensure seamless campaign execution, leverage internal resources effectively, and maximize ticket sales.
  • Paid Social Expertise: Provide expert-level oversight of all major social media advertising platforms (including Meta, Reddit, TikTok, Twitter/X, Bluesky, and Snap), ensuring the execution of effective and compliant campaigns. Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to optimize performance. Maintain a thorough understanding of data compliance and advancements in marketing technologies, leveraging these insights to identify strategic opportunities and guide cross-functional teams in achieving campaign objectives.
  • Product and Process Enhancement: Develop and implement standardized processes and workflows to streamline campaign management, optimize efficiency, and ensure consistent quality across all initiatives.
  • Performance Measurement and Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze campaign performance at the macro and micro level; identifying key trends and opportunities for optimization across the AEG Presents business. Lead the team in delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years Experience in executing and managing paid social campaigns with large media budgets at agency or in-house team.
  • Extensive experience managing full funnel and conversion-focused campaigns, with a proven track record of achieving key metrics such as CPA, ROAS, and sales revenue targets.
  • Experience in integrating social media campaigns with broader marketing strategies and business objectives, ensuring cohesion across channels.
  • Experience with organic social strategy is a plus but not required.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with all major social media advertising platforms (Meta, TikTok, Twitter/X, Snap), demonstrating a strong understanding of campaign frameworks, audience targeting capabilities, optimization & bidding strategies, creative formats, and measurement.
  • Ability to analyze campaign data, identify trends and insights, and use that information to optimize current and future campaigns for better results.
  • Proven ability to analyze performance marketing data at the micro and macro level, extract actionable insights, and translate those insights into optimized strategies and recommendations.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of measurement tracking solutions, incrementality, attribution models and the tools to track, report, analyze results (e.g., Google Tag Manager, pixel implementation, UTM tracking, marketing mix modeling, Meta Advanced Analytics)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and insights to diverse audience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in delivering clear, actionable insights to stakeholders based on campaign data, highlighting key learnings and optimization opportunities.
  • Passion for live events, music, and marketing technology.

Pay scale: $102,528 - $161,643

AEG reserves the right to change or modify the employee’s job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship.  AEG may require an employee to perform duties outside their normal description.
