Job Description

  • The Director of Operations at Paper Roll Products will oversee our end-to-end operational team, consisting of customer service and warehouse fulfillment teams. Key accountabilities include:
  • Operations Management: This role will be responsible for ensuring high service standards and efficient handling of customer requests, including evaluating and tracking serviced metrics and identifying areas for improvement. This person will also management our warehouse fulfillment team with a focus on process standardization and improved efficiency to support growth.
  • Business Process Redesign: As a key initiative to support planned growth, this person will be responsible for evaluating current processes and implementing changes to promote standardization and consistency that will set the team up to be able to manage projected sales growth in the coming months and years.
  • Company Leadership: This role will directly oversee the operational aspects of the business but will also be collaborating with other executives and will be an onsite resource to provide guidance and bolster morale for all team members.
  • Strategic Planning: The Director of Operations will collaborate closely with the VP of Sales and the President to plan and execute strategic initiatives that promote improved efficiency and increased sales.
  • Cost Management: A key function of this role will be managing expenses in our end-to-end process, including negotiation of shipping rates, identification and elimination of process inefficiencies, and management of labor distribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Progressive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working or managing in technical customer service environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing successful process improvements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP software, and customer service platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies
