The Director Operations will be responsible for building and managing an inside sales team across multiple states to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals while maintaining CMS regulations. The director is responsible for providing strategic leadership to rapidly growing Medicare call center sales and operations teams across multiple sites. The director will lead teams of licensed brokers tasked with selling, Medicare Advantage plans to Medicare eligible clients. The director will build, lead, and train a group of specialized, high performing sales to achieve corporate sales and revenue targets. This includes developing annual work plans (including key performance indicators) and budgets as well as managing the P&L. The director will utilize data and analytics to drive sales performance and revenue growth and will manage the operations to enable success. The director will also be responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures, quality standards, and local, state, and federal regulations are maintained and enforced.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct responsibility for a team of sales managers, indirect responsibility for licensed health agents

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Guide a team of sales managers toward meeting corporate sales goals
  • Monitors and improves standard operating practices
  • Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve membership growth and financial goals
  • Develop and utilize data to set goals and drive sales results with Brokerage leaders
  • Develops and motivates staff to achieve goals
  • Establish performance expectations and goals, evaluate performance results, provide feedback to staff, and administer appropriate rewards
  • Ability to coach and teach sales leaders and agents on sales techniques that results in increased agent production
  • Develop and implement retention strategy to retain current and future agents and leaders
  • Support hiring and onboarding efforts for all agents and college and military candidates
  • Foster a cohesive and supportive team environment in-line with HealthPlanOne values and culture
  • Direct the staff efforts to ensure compliance with CMS standards is met
  • Provide leadership to staff including establishing and maintaining regular team meetings as well as providing ongoing support and coaching 
  • Ability to understand and drive actionable solutions to information obtained from data, analytics, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as HR, Sales Support, IT, QA, Training to ensure open lines of communication and that policies and procedures are aligned with the Company mission
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of successful sales management of an inside sales operation
  • Previous supervisory / management experience in a 100+ seat call center environment
  • Solid understanding of call center technology, terminology, and environment
  • Ability to interface with senior level executives during client meetings and presentations
  • Must be a proactive, hands-on leader with a proven strategic vision who will drive operational performance with a high degree of accountability and integrity
  • Operates independently in managing complex situations and/or projects
  • Anticipates risk and develops plan to mitigate the risk
  • Ability to think out of the box and manage towards established goals
  • Must possess a strong sense of integrity and be able to manage an office independently and maintain high personal and professional standards

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Solid knowledge and grasp of Medicare / CMS rules and regulations preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
  • 25% domestic travel
