Scripps Sports is seeking a Director, National Sales. This position will deliver on revenue goals for national line of business across Scripps Sports properties with a focus on local market sports properties. This is a remote position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Day-to-day management for our sports properties in partnership with third party national sales partners.

Handle all available requests.

Manage and lead the upfront process.

Co-create client presentations, proposals and strategy.

Partner with the internal ad operations team on all fulfillment contracts, revisions, posts, recaps and digital stewardship.

Provide accurate forecasts.
-
Lead unwired partnership deals across sports properties.
-
Manage and work direct client relationships and brands to influence business.
-
Visit major agency hubs to build relationships, generate revenue, and cultivate new opportunities.

Identify and close entitlement opportunities across properties.
-
Nurture and grow national client relationships.
-
Partner internally with other sales channels to uncover new sponsorship opportunities.

Partner with leadership to help craft and narrate our go-to market strategies and tactics for each assigned sports property.

Create new partnership ideas and concepts to generate new streams of revenue.

Provide insight and expertise in upgrading operations and sales fulfillment, including sales decks, inventory management, pricing, sales process, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred

Generally, 10+ years of experience in related field preferred

Significant strength in sports business sales on a major league, team, or in media with a proven track record exceeding revenue goals

Strong analytical abilities; foresee potential pitfalls within a strategy while remaining positive about achieving the revenue goals
