The Opportunity: Drive Multinational Underwriting strategy for NAO division across Financial Lines (Public D&O and Professional Liability), Commercial Casualty and E&S Property.  Strengthen relationships with other QBE offices and network partners to deliver underwriting, structuring and implementing multinational programs.

  • Location: New York City, NY (55 Water Street, NY) or Chicago, IL (500 W. Madison, Suite 1250)

  • Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

  • The salary range for this role is between $158,500 - $270,000

Your New Role

  • Review Multinational offerings, identify gaps and create solutions that support customer and broker needs.  Continually assessing needs and capabilities.

  • Implement multinational policies by working in conjunction and supporting local account underwriters to manage and issue polices by ensuring program structure is compliant with local laws and regulations.

  • Collaborate and authorize instructions to other QBE Servicing Offices in other countries or contractually bound Network Partners that are insurance companies which issue local policies on behalf of QBE in territories where QBE does not have a local office or capability and are subject to agreed service standards.

  • Build and maintain relationships with Global Multinational Team  execute the strategy for the global program placement.

  • Advocates for NAO division’s best interest and collaborates with Global Network Team (GNT), who builds relationships with new and existing network offices, investigates network capability to develop multinational products, and provides up to date local market information and regulatory requirement in territories of cover. 

  • Individual contributor role that mentors other Underwriters and local Multinational Client Center (MCC- Underwriting Operations)

  • Build business resilience with innovative Multinational underwriting across products such as Property, Liability, and Financial Lines and provide simplicity to centrally managed multinational programs.

  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement processes.

  • Deliver timely decisions and problem-solving solutions to local account underwriters.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Multinational underwriting experience across Financial Lines, Casualty and Property

  • Multinational business experience and flexibility to work hours to support international clients and brokers

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance. We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
