Overview: The Director, IT Infrastructure Engagement is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the IT Towers of Network, Telecommunications, Infrastructure (including Cloud), End User Computing (EUC), and Field Operations. This position is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery and support of infrastructure services that meet the business objectives of Tempo and align with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) established with the Tempo customer. The Director will work extensively with the Director, IT Clinical Engagement to ensure coordinated and successful account delivery, driving improvements in operational efficiency, service delivery, and infrastructure optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Lead the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and customer needs.

    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the IT Towers under your purview, focusing on optimizing network, telecom, cloud, EUC, and field operations.

    • Ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations, achievement of performance metrics, and continuous improvement in delivery operations and outcomes.

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations of Network, Telecom, Infrastructure (including Cloud), EUC, and Field Operations, ensuring all systems and services are reliable, secure, and scalable.

    • Coordinate closely with the Director, IT Clinical Engagement to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure services with clinical applications and other IT services.

    • Manage the implementation and optimization of infrastructure-related technologies, ensuring robust performance and availability across the customer’s IT environment.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Provide leadership and direction to infrastructure managers and teams, including performance management, career development, and succession planning.

    • Define roles and responsibilities for your team, participate actively in recruiting, and mentor team members to enhance their skills in IT service management and infrastructure operations.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of the customer.

  • Service Management:

    • Ensure that SLAs for all infrastructure services are published, met, and continuously monitored for compliance.

    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

    • Interface with IT teams, clinical leaders, and other department heads to ensure infrastructure services are aligned with broader organizational objectives.

  • Vendor and Resource Management:

    • Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, ensuring that infrastructure services are delivered to the highest standards.

    • Oversee the budgeting process for all infrastructure-related activities, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet operational goals.

    • Utilize effective resource management practices to monitor and achieve performance targets, mitigating risks associated with infrastructure services.

  • Additional Duties:

    • Provide on-call support and on-site emergency response as needed.

    • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the IT infrastructure services.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Location: Greensboro, NC

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

  • Experience:

    • 8-10+ years of demonstrated experience in managing IT infrastructure, including network, telecom, cloud, EUC, and field operations.

    • Proven leadership experience in a complex, multi-site IT environment.

    • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.

    • Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms (a plus).

    • Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across teams.

    • High initiative and ability to work well within a team environment.

    • Capability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.

    • Strong technical competence and understanding of infrastructure technologies and trends.

    • Knowledge of services supporting multiple verticals within healthcare and professional services.

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25% or as required.
