Job Summary:
Provides leadership to Little Caesars Enterprises International supply chain team outside North America, including full P&L and executive responsibility for international supply chain operations. Supports the franchise community by providing them with best-in-class pricing from approved suppliers on ingredients (relative to operational volume), at the right time and the right place that assists them in maximizing the ROI on their Little Caesars investment. This position is seen as the International Supply Chain expert and a key member of the International Division management team.
Develops, implements and leads key strategies that have a direct impact on international supply chain activities; leads and develops (as needed) purchasing managers on development of an approved overall local purchasing strategy/plan, alternative product approval process adherence, business case analysis, securing approval for in-country ingredient sourcing and contract negotiations, end to end import logistics, inventory management, distributor performance, effective communication and franchisee relationships.
This role manages the local purchasing manager (and in certain cases directly manages) in the development of a purchasing strategy when entering new countries, local sourcing, contract negotiation, ongoing cross functional team participation, communication, timeline management and tactical execution for new markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing the short and long-term international operations of the organization while identifying, implementing, and monitoring key performance indicators to drive performance results.
- P&L responsibility of International Supply Chain ensure it meets or exceeds budget requirements. Production of detail performance reports as required including local sourcing performance metrics vs goals
- Provides global leadership and direction to the international regional colleagues by implementing a ‘best practices’ approach to the distribution network and monitoring colleague performance vs standards. Responsible for maintaining proper staffing levels, subordinate job performance, training, coaching and professional development. Proactively provides consul as required and takes corrective action if required.
- Responsible for leading, directing and optimizing our distribution network as support for our international business to ensure maximum efficiency while reducing costs.
- Drives change and innovation in line with target performance metrics and establishes the strategic direction to achieve industry leading cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Builds and maintains collaborative relationships that result in lower cost, efficient deliveries while implementing new methodologies and technologies.
- Provides leadership and direction to subordinates, 3rd party distributors, vendors and ‘on the ground’ teams. Holds leaders and teams accountable for performance against key metrics.
- Evaluates distribution projects impacting productivity, inventory, manpower and workflows.
- Ensures compliance with domestic & international regulations through oversight of a process-driven approach across the network.
- Assesses and evaluates warehouse management and transportation technologies for company or 3rd party partners/vendors for implementation, improvement, or capacity.
- Oversees overall safety initiatives, regulatory requirements and functions.
- Analyzes, identifies, and proposes action to the solution of problems with the operations and leadership teams of individual divisions and departments to increase the effectiveness of operations.
- Builds relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or another related area.
- Minimum of fifteen (10) years of international distribution, supply chain and/or logistics experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years guiding a professional team while producing exemplary results.
- A demonstrated history as an innovative, visionary leader.
- International multi-site distribution center leadership and operations experience in the food industry.
- Proven success in leading, developing, and improving performance of a diverse, multi-location, results-driven team.
- Evidence of anticipating industry changes while proactively fostering supply chain improvements through collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated acumen to reengineer processes and driving the associated change management process.
- Knowledge of customs regulations that impact distribution within and across international markets.
- Proof of analytical and problem-solving skills developed from sound business judgment & experience.
- Demonstrated negotiation and influence skills in an international setting.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of colleagues.
- The ability to travel extensively, domestically and internationally, and adhere to the company Travel Policy.
Working Conditions:
- This position will be in an office environment; however, exposure to warehouses, trucks and distribution centers may occur on a regular basis.
- This position requires the ability to supervise colleagues in significantly different time zones and willingness to work non-traditional business hours (evenings, weekends, etc. where necessary)
