Job Description
Summary
The Director of Integration leads the planning and execution of integration strategies for acquired companies and reports to the Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy. This role is critical in ensuring that the integration process aligns with our overall business strategy and delivers maximum value post-acquisition. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of M&A processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across various departments. Acting as the central focal point and authority for one or more integration projects, the Director of Integration provides a single point of contact for both internal and external customers.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive integration strategy for each acquisition that aligns with overall company objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and input for the integration approach.
- Work closely with the transaction team prior to close to ensure that integration considerations are discussed and contemplated in diligence and negotiations
- Lead the integration project teams to ensure timely and effective integration of acquired companies.
- Establish milestones, track progress, and adjust plans as necessary to meet integration timelines.
- Manage the cultural integration across organizations, addressing potential challenges and facilitating a smooth transition for employees.
- Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed and engaged throughout the integration process.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, HR, IT, and legal teams, to facilitate collaborative integration efforts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all integration-related inquiries from stakeholders and leadership.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure integration success and report outcomes to senior leadership.
- Conduct post-integration reviews to identify learnings and improve future integration processes.
- Identify potential risks associated with integration processes and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Ensures adherence to Company policies and processes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.
- MBA highly preferred.
- PMI (or equivalent) certification is preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, project management, or strategic planning, with a focus on integration roles required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry is desired
- Experience working at a publicly listed company is desired
- Experience in a highly technical environment
- Deep knowledge of Project Management methods, tools and processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Project)

Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 10 lbs.), bend, etc. Hand and wrist dexterity to utilize the computer.
- Some travel required (up to 20%).
Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance:
- Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning/heating.
- May have some exposure to outside environment while traveling.
Special Requirements
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental U.S. and internationally when required.
The salary range for this role is:
$165,580 - $234,465
