HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a member of the Varsity Brands Human Resources team, the Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) – Supply Chain will directly support Varsity Brands' Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) by providing strategic HR consultation aligned with the Supply Chain’s business objectives. This role is instrumental in driving organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee engagement across the Supply Chain organization. The Director, HRBP – Supply Chain will collaborate with executive leadership to influence people strategies, facilitate change management, and contribute to long-term business success. This position will have a direct impact on optimizing team performance, enhancing leadership capabilities, and building a future-ready workforce to prepare for significant business growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Leadership of HR Business Partners (HRBPs)
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HRBPs, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality HR support across the Supply Chain function
- Manage performance, provide ongoing feedback, and support the recruitment and onboarding of new HR Business Partners as needed
- Establish best practices and create a collaborative environment within the HRBP team to enhance overall team effectiveness
- Strategic Partnership:
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to the CSCO and Supply Chain executive leadership, providing insights on people strategies that align with business objectives
- Collaborate with Supply Chain HRBPs to influence and guide organizational design, talent planning, and workforce strategies to ensure optimal performance across the Supply Chain function
- Lead efforts to drive organizational transformation in support of growth and operational excellence initiatives
- Talent Management:
- Collaborate with the CSCO, Supply Chain executive leadership, and Talent Acquisition to ensure Supply Chain’s talent needs are met, advising on role alignment, compensation, recruitment, and succession planning for critical roles
- Champion the performance management process by coaching leaders on goal setting, continuous feedback, and employee development to foster a high-performing and engaged Supply Chain workforce
- Lead Supply Chain talent reviews, succession planning, and development initiatives, identifying career path opportunities, skill-building, and leadership development
- Employee Engagement and Relations:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and build a culture of high performance and accountability within the Supply Chain teams
- Act as a coach and advisor to executive and senior leadership on complex employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and proactive performance improvement
- Ensure alignment with corporate diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce
- Leadership Development / Talent Development:
- Support the identification and cultivation of high-potential leaders through targeted development plans, ensuring a robust succession pipeline for critical Supply Chain roles
- Coach and develop Supply Chain leaders (including emerging leaders) on leadership best practices, team management, and leadership effectiveness to build a high-performing leadership team
- Foster social learning opportunities, including peer-to-peer mentoring, job shadowing, and cross-functional stretch assignments to promote continuous leadership growth and development
- Partner with Varsity Brands Talent Development to design and implement Supply Chain-specific formal learning programs that enhance leadership capabilities and align with business goals
- Facilitate leadership development workshops and training sessions tailored to supply chain challenges and opportunities, ensuring readiness for future business demands
- Collaborate with leaders to embed leadership development into daily operations, encouraging a culture of feedback, growth, and continuous improvement
- HR Data and Analytics:
- Use HR analytics and data-driven insights to influence decision-making, track key performance indicators, and support the achievement of business goals
- Proactively assess employee trends and organizational health within Supply Chain and provide data-based recommendations for improvement
- Change Management:
- Lead and support change management initiatives related to Supply Chain’s operations, including large-scale organizational redesigns and cultural shifts
- Partner with the Communications team to design and communicate impactful transformation initiatives that effectively engage employees and ensure message consistency
- Develop and deliver training and development programs to ensure employee readiness and smooth transitions during organizational changes
- Collaborate with Supply Chain executive leadership to drive the adoption of new processes, technologies, and operational models that enhance Supply Chain’s performance

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with 10+ years in a strategic HR Business Partner role
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading HR Business Partners is required
- Extensive experience supporting executive leaders in complex, fast-paced environments, preferably within supply chain or operational functions
- Experience leading organizational design, change management, and talent development initiatives
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: MS OneNote, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams, MS SharePoint, and MS Outlook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
