The Director Global Sustainability Procurement will be responsible for the sourcing strategy development, senior leader stakeholder engagement and execution of programs to support the company's sustainability program and other elements of environmental and social responsibility (i.e. carbon reduction, animal welfare, etc.) as assigned. The person will be accountable to the VP, Global Indirect & Sustainable Procurement, regional Procurement Vice Presidents and the Chief Procurement Officer.
This is a 14 month contract role and can located in our Toronto, ON or Oakbrook, Il office.
Accountabilities:
• CO2 Scope 3 - Develops and executes the overall Scope 3 reduction strategy for global procurement to achieve McCain science-based target by 2030 • Renewable Electricity - The Director is responsible for the achievement of the renewable electricity targets, in collaboration with the global REO (Resource Efficient Operations) team. Including Strategy and Coordination, supporting regional team along with audit and data collection • Responsible Sourcing Program - Refines and implements the responsible sourcing program, in collaboration with the regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders such as Legal and Global Sustainability. Areas of focus include deforestation (palm oil, soy oil, paper), human rights (violations to workers in supply chain) animal welfare (cage-free eggs)• Team Leadership - Builds capabilities within direct reporting team, focusing on development planning and coaching along with fostering a culture that allows team to feel valued and respected
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree required • 10+ years of business experience • 5+ years' experience in sustainability specifically on renewable energy and/or carbon footprint reduction • Extensive program management experience involving multi-disciplined matrixed and global teams • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Sound fact-based decision making, responsive and problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering results • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, with a track record of identifying and implementing new growth opportunities. • Experience working in a global organization and navigating complex business environments.

About the team.
The Director for Global Sustainability Procurement will develop, lead and execute the overall Global Procurement Sustainability program in support of the overall McCain Sustainability goals and commitments. The role requires insight on regional market dynamics as well as industry trends to enable close collaboration with the respective regional procurement leaders to ensure McCain delivers on key commitments in the areas of carbon footprint reduction, renewable energy, and responsible sourcing (including deforestation, human rights, animal welfare, among others) In addition, the role will be responsible to further refine and deploy Responsible Sourcing policy and principles. This role will formally lead a team of two (2) Global Procurement Sustainability Managers and will be required to set clear objectives for the team, monitor performance and coach team members in order to sustain a high-performance culture and support career development.

Compensation Package : $146,200.00 - $195,000.00 CAD annually
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
