As the Director of Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in overseeing the preparation and communication of financial information for internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a combination of financial expertise, and excellent communication skills to drive accurate and transparent reporting aligned with organizational goals.
This role is for a maternity leave coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with finance teams to provide insights into financial performance and trends.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate financial performance to internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders, regulatory bodies, and sustainability rating agencies.
- Address inquiries and requests for information related to financial reporting.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of changes in financial reporting regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance with evolving standards.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address reporting requirements.
- Process Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting processes.
- Implement best practices and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a team of professionals responsible for financialreporting.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous.
- Substantial experience in financial reporting
- Strong understanding of financial principles, and, accounting standards.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial reporting.
