Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently seeking a Director of Finance and Sales Operations to join our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville area). This person oversees financial planning, forecasting, sales strategy, and revenue operations. Responsible for preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, financial models, and special projects while managing the Accounting Department, including billing, accounts payable, and inventory control. Oversees all aspects of the digital sales process. Instrumental in scaling the organization by implementing efficient sales processes, optimizing CRM systems, driving financial insights, and ensuring financial scalability to support business growth. Assumes responsibility for day-to-day company operations in the absence of the Vice President & General Manager. Contributes to strategic planning, systems decisions, policy implementation, and operational efficiency.

This position supports Ingram Education Services, an Ingram subsidiary, which is a major supplier of educational materials, textbooks, and instructional resources primarily serving schools and educators. IES is the authorized textbook depository for multiple states, ensuring that K-12 schools receive approved curriculum materials efficiently. The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 8+ years’ experience in finance, with at least 3 in leadership
- 3+ years sales reporting and operations
- 5 +years’ experience in the distribution industry

- Strong understanding of financial modeling, revenue recognition, and metrics
- Expertise in CRM platforms and sales analytics tools
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic decisions
- Experience in sales enablement, pipeline management, and sales forecasting
- Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands
- Ability to speak, write and read the English language
- Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time
- Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
The Director Of Finance and Sales Ops key responsibilities are:
- Develops and optimizes sales processes to improve efficiency and drive revenue growth.
- Owns and manages sales forecasting, pipeline analysis, and performance metrics
- Develops and oversees automation tools to enhance the efficiency of the sales process
- Upgrades and implements an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures.
- Leads financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Implements and manages CRM tools to maximize sales opportunities and customer relationships
- Provides strategic financial recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insights.
- Ensures high levels of data quality and process consistency in sales and marketing systems
- Models and creates pricing for new and current SAAS offering
- Models new business models and current offerings
- Analyzes sales data, implement necessary actions, and evaluate their impact to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Development and Modeling of pricing strategies for SAAS products and projects.
- Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to enhance pricing strategies, profitability, and customer retention.
- Coordinates financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting efforts to drive efficient financial and sales operations.
- Develops policies and procedures to collect and analyze financial data to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and interpretation of financial metrics
- Provides financial modeling and strategic planning for all new state and district SAAS product acquisitions.
- Produces and assures accuracy in all financial reporting, including budgets, daily sales reporting, quarterly reporting to publishers, monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, projections, cash forecasting and daily sales data review.
- Works with VP/GM on all strategic decisions defined in the strategic plan for the company.
- Evaluates current systems processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effective ways of doing business and analyze business opportunities for the effective way of reaching the desired result.
- Assist staff with unresolved customer service, accounts payable, billing, and collections issues, including handling direct customer and publisher calls and letters to reinforce company policies and procedures.
Hiring Salary Range: $125,000k - $160,000k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
