Job Summary
The Director Enterprise Security Architecture is responsible for driving the security direction of the platforms for the Altice USA enterprise. You will be responsible for overseeing a team for the implementation, configuration, and automation of security controls to ensure that it meets and exceeds the overall organization security compliance.
You must be proficient in Data Protection, Compliance Validation, Vulnerability Analysis, Network Security, Infrastructure Security, CI/CD Security, Identity and Access Management, Logging and Monitoring, Incident Response, Data and Analytics, and Resiliency.
You will need to be proficient in cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. The role will involve defining requirements and providing support to security engineers, network engineers and application architecture specialists. You will work with various Security, Network Engineering, and IT teams to ensure the resulting architectures meet the product/service requirements. You will have a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of new, highly scalable services that will positively impact the overall employee and customer experience while ensuring a best-in-class security posture.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of high-performing Security Architects, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability.
- Provide thought leadership on technologies, best practices, and industry trends, ensuring AlticeUSA remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Design, Implement, Document, and maintain complex security infrastructure to support Application development under defined Architecture Guidelines, in the Enterprise environment.
- Help teams maintain and follow Security Architecture Best Practices, established standards, and provide solutions / proof of concepts.
- Create, document, and promote a detailed security architectural roadmap.
- Create, document, and promote security reference architecture consumable by engineering and development teams.
- Create and promote a program of Secure by Design principles, ensuring adoption across the organization ensuring that security is built into solutions from the outset, rather than being added as an afterthought..
- Conduct platform, tool, and process assessments to evaluate existing security controls, identify weaknesses and make recommendations and process improvements.
- Assess security threats and risks in order to define and implement appropriate architectural security models.
- Provide guidance to junior security staff and perform deep technical research on the security impacts of new technology.
- Drive efforts and provide material support to business teams by planning and designing architectural solutions in support of security strategies.
- Ensure that the platforms security risk controls, mitigations, and approach are aligned with security standards, IT, and business goals.
- Ensure proper security architecture and governance practices put in place for emerging technologies such as AI/ML and GenAI and other emerging technologies
- Software development architecture, such as oversight and mandates for things like threat modeling for secure solution design and specifically for Web Services design OWASP Top ten resilience reference architecture.
- Ensuring as well as experience with DevSecOps methodologies and practices, such as operational discipline, security logging, monitoring and alarming are part of the process
- Provide guidance to ensure security policy, compliance requirements, and best practices are implemented across the project portfolio.
- Collaborates with External Vendors ensureing that their security practices align with the organization's security architecture standards.
- Design and maintain security architecture metrics to track the effectiveness of the overall security architecture program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum fifteen years experience in Information Technology
- Minimum ten years of direct IT Security experience in one or more of the ten security domains
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Broad technical experience in several security disciplines including endpoint and platform (Unix/Linux/Windows, mobile) controls, encryption/tokenization, identity and access management, PKI, data protection, and security tooling integration in complex environments.
- Expertise across multiple security disciplines such as Data Protection, Compliance Validation, Vulnerability Experience with Network Security, Infrastructure Security (Active Directory, Group Policy, Endpoint management), CI/CD Security, Identity and Access Management, Logging and Monitoring, Incident Response, Data and Analytics, and Resiliency.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code deployments and the security review process.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and guide leadership on value added calculations and ROI of the technology the team is building.
- Hands-on experience with Security Services in Azure and in AWS such as IAM, KMS, VPC, Security Groups, AWS Inspector, and Guard Duty.
- Experience building security reference architectures for complex information systems based on industry frameworks.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $155,509.00 - $222,156.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
