Summary:
The Director, Retail Partnerships, reporting to the SVP/GM, Retail Partnerships, will be responsible for driving distribution growth and fostering strategic relationships with retailers, major oil companies, equipment manufacturers and equipment distributors.
This role is focused on strengthening and maintaining GSTV’s partnerships while driving growth through the development and execution of innovative partnership strategies. The position focuses on attracting and engaging prospective retailer partners, identifying and building high-impact collaboration opportunities, crafting tailored solutions, and expanding network supply to achieve strategic business objectives.
The Director will collaborate closely with internal teams and retailer stakeholders to deliver results that align with both company and partner objectives. This role prioritizes ensuring client satisfaction and account retention, driving distribution growth that directly supports the achievement of sales revenue targets.
This position is both strategic and tactical, requiring the ideal candidate to effectively manage multiple accounts and related projects. The Director will focus on building and proposing new ideas to retail accounts while driving the execution of successful proposals to close. Additionally, the role involves providing leadership and direction to a team of key stakeholders, ensuring effective and consistent communication to deliver and maintain best-in-class client support standards.
This role requires the ability to consistently and effectively craft innovative and compelling selling stories that demonstrate the value of GSTV services while addressing the specific business objectives of retail partners. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, prioritization, and innovative thinking skills, excel at navigating ambiguity, and demonstrate a self-starter mindset.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Client Relationship Management
o Defend existing GSTV retailer supply
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as their primary point of contact within the organization focused on activating new locations and maintaining high levels of network uptime.
o Understand the unique needs and challenges of each client and proactively address them.
· Account Growth
o Grow GSTV supply by building and expanding client partnerships across assigned retail account.
o Develop and execute account plans for assigned retail clients to drive network growth, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and maximize the value delivered to clients.
o Collaborate with account key stakeholder across retailers, major oil companies, equipment manufacturers and equipment distributors to identify new business opportunities within existing strategic accounts.
· Strategic Planning
o Work with the team to develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with the company's overall business objectives in growing supply in key markets, strategic retailers, and expanding supply on emerging hardware technology.
o Identify emerging market and industry trends and client needs to adapt strategies accordingly.
· Contract and Proposal Management
o Build client-specific proposals and guide them through the approval process with internal stakeholders and GSTV's legal counsel.
o Prepare and present client proposals, contracts, and agreements. Negotiate terms and conditions to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
· Client Satisfaction and Support
o Identify and address client concerns, resolve issues, and provide exceptional support to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
o Monitor and analyze client feedback and make improvements, as necessary.
o Take new and prospective client feedback and work internally across key stakeholders to mitigate and resolve.
· Team Collaboration
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network Operations, Retail Success, Marketing, Product development, Ad Operations, etc. to ensure the seamless delivery of products/services to clients.
o Share client insights and feedback with internal teams to inform product/service enhancements.
· Sales Reporting and Forecasting
o Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities via Salesforce.
o Provide regular supply side sales forecasts and reports to senior management via pipeline tools.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
· Strong understanding of key sales principles and strategies for success
· Strong track record of cultivating and building partnerships with wide range client/customer types including larger corporate and small independent businesses
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong organizational and project management skills
· Negotiation and contract management experience
· Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
· Consistent communicator who striving to turn "no" into "yes" by identifying solutions and fostering positive outcomes
· Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
· Proven experience managing multiple tasks, projects and accounts

Education and/or Experience:
Experience:
· 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, client partnerships with a proven track record of managing and growing high value strategic accounts
· Experience in convenience and fuel industry or another retailer channel
· Knowledge of commerce marketing, shopper marketing, and/or trade marketing
Education:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
