Job Summary
We are seeking a Direct Sales Director to oversee the implementation and management of our Residential Direct Sales program within a designated region at Optimum. This role is crucial for achieving customer connection and revenue targets, requiring entrepreneurial leadership to guide and inspire sales teams. The ideal candidate will focus on developing sales leaders, driving gross additions, and managing daily business operations effectively
Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to achieve high-quality sales and customer connections
  • Utilize data to develop strategic territory plans that enhance customer acquisition through direct sales efforts
  • Foster a winning culture within local communities, motivating teams to excel every day
  • Define and implement streamlined sales processes to ensure efficient workflow within the sales department
  • Facilitates positive and productive relationships with other Optimum departments
  • Ensures compliance and integrity of credit policies/CVT in the production of sales, and other related operational procedures
  • Drive the execution of direct sales programs to meet budgeted customer and revenue objectives
  • Collaborate with the recruiting team to grow the direct sales staff following an approved strategy
  • Manages teams through changes and evolutions of process policies and procedures
  • Partner with corporate stakeholders to design effective compensation programs that motivate and recognize sales achievements
  • Supports and encourages development of management and sales representatives.
  • Performs Human Resources related transactions including selection, evaluation, and development of individuals within the area of responsibility
  • Develops proposals and presentations and presents as requested
  • Partners with others and works to maintain a positive presence for Optimum in the communities served
  • Continuously analyze business performance using Excel and other analytical tools to monitor key metrics and drive positive trends


Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years sales leadership experience in sales or telecommunications industry
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of sales experience preferably in direct sales
  • Must have proven track record of sales success and leadership in managing a sales force
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize effectively
  • Strong people and relationship management skills
  • Exceptional presentation and sales skills
  • Valid state driver's license and a good driving record required
  • Creative, adaptable, and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level customers
