About the role:

OpenWeb is dedicated to empowering publishers with innovative solutions that drive engagement and foster thriving communities. The Director of Corporate Marketing is a critical role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content and communications strategy that elevates OpenWeb's brand visibility, thought leadership, and market position. This individual will lead all aspects of content creation, public relations, and communications, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with OpenWeb's overall business objectives. This includes defining target audiences, identifying key messaging, and creating a content calendar that includes OpenWeb.com, blog posts, articles, white papers, case studies, social media content, and video.
  • Lead and manage all public relations activities, including media outreach, press releases, media relations, and crisis communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and industry influencers.
  • Strategize, plan, and guide podcast initiatives, including key messaging, episode content, and aligning topics with broader brand objectives.
  • Optimize content and communications campaigns based on data-driven insights.
  • Manage a small team of internal and external content creators.
  • Implement industry trends and best practices in content marketing and public relations.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including Product Marketing, Executive Leadership, Business Development, and Partner Success, to ensure consistent messaging and brand awareness.

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing for an adtech or other technology company, with a strong focus on content strategy and public relations.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful content marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Media relations experience, including managing a PR agency, freelancer, and/or directly building and maintaining relationships with journalists and securing media coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools.
  • Data-driven approach to content creation and measurement.
  • Passion for the publishing industry and the challenges facing publishers today.
  • Must be able to join us in our SoHo office 2-3x a week. 

What You'll Get:

Our Director of Corporate Marketing compensation package includes an annual salary ranging between $140,000 - $160,000 (based on candidate's experience and skill set). Additionally, this role is eligible for a performance-based bonus, equity and benefits including:
