Xometry is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Corporate Development to lead our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities. This is a critical role that will drive Xometry's inorganic growth strategy, identifying and executing acquisitions that align with our strategic objectives and accelerate our market leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading all phases of the M&A lifecycle, from deal sourcing and due diligence to negotiation and integration. This Director will report to the VP Finance.
Responsibilities:
- M&A Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute Xometry's M&A strategy, aligned with overall corporate objectives and growth initiatives. Lead all aspects of the M&A process, including:
- Deal Sourcing & Origination: Proactively identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets through market research, industry analysis, and networking.
- Due Diligence: Manage cross-functional due diligence teams, coordinating financial, legal, operational, and technical assessments.
- Valuation & Negotiation: Develop financial models, conduct valuations, and lead negotiations with target companies.
- Transaction Execution: Oversee the transaction process, ensuring timely and efficient execution of definitive agreements.
- Integration Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute post-acquisition integration plans.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential acquisition opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, and other key players in the M&A ecosystem.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, finance, legal, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on M&A strategy and execution.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management and the Board of Directors on M&A activity and pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a strong focus on M&A.
- Proven track record of leading and executing successful M&A transactions, from deal origination to integration.
- Deep understanding of the M&A process, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in the manufacturing, technology, or e-commerce industries is a plus.
