The Director, Content Marketing leads the development and execution of content marketing strategies that attract and engage new prospects while fostering deeper relationships with existing customers. This role is integral to the Consumer Marketing function and requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate across teams to be part of impactful, marketing programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating engaging digital content that educates, inspires, and supports the bank’s growth objectives through lead generation, prospect and client engagement, and new business acquisition.

Content Strategy Development and Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content marketing strategies to attract new prospects and support customer acquisition goals.

  • Leverage data and customer insights to understand target audience preferences, behaviors, and pain points, creating content that drives engagement and action.

  • Create targeted content programs to educate and engage existing customers and generate leads

  • Align content initiatives with key business objectives, focusing on enhancing the client experience and driving measurable improvements in engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Ensure all content aligns with the bank’s brand voice, messaging, and strategic objectives.

  • Builds and maintains editorial calendars; provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Understands market research and client NPS findings to inform content strategy

Collaboration and Program/Campaign Support

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Brand, and Compliance teams to align content initiatives with key business objectives.

  • Work closely with Marketing Program Managers to provide best practices for content as part of larger, multi-channel campaigns for consumer and small business segments.

  • Partner with digital media, website, and email teams to ensure content is effectively integrated and optimized across channels.

  • Act as a key collaborator in cross-functional campaign planning and execution processes.

Content Creation and Optimization

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content, including articles, videos, infographics, blogs, and other digital assets.

  • Leverage customer insights and analytics to refine content strategies and improve engagement and conversion rates.

  • Stay updated on content marketing trends and best practices, incorporating new ideas and technologies to enhance the bank’s content strategy.

  • Oversee relationships with external agencies and freelancers to scale content production as needed.

Performance Measurement and Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of content marketing initiatives.

  • Analyze campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize future efforts.

  • Present performance reports and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in content marketing, with a focus on digital channels and customer engagement.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content marketing strategies.

  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and marketing automation platforms.

  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

  • Experience with multimedia content creation, including video, graphics, and interactive formats.

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills.

  • Passion for understanding customer needs and creating content that resonates.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

  • Ability to travel to one of the following locations as needed is preferred: Southington, CT, White Plains, NY, Jericho, NY, New York, NY.

The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
