About the role:
The Director, Commercial Partner Development will be responsible for driving new business development, focusing on health plans as well as other key partners in adjacent value pools. The ideal candidate will be a tenacious, strategic thinker who excels at building and expanding partnerships, has strong negotiation skills, and can cultivate relationships both externally and internally. They will need to operate with a high degree of autonomy, leading structured processes with clear milestones, timelines, and accountability to ensure seamless execution and results.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to establish and expand partnerships across health plans and adjacent value pools
- Lead contract negotiations and deal structuring to drive long-term value for GoHealth
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, demonstrating deep industry expertise and persuasive selling skills
- Create and implement a structured, process-driven approach to business development, ensuring clarity on objectives, timelines, and deliverables
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities to keep GoHealth ahead of market shifts
- Drive internal consensus-building and stakeholder alignment to advance Commercial objectives
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership development within the healthcare industry or related sectors
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to structure complex deals that benefit both GoHealth and its partners
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to build trust and influence decision-making
- A process-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to drive execution
- A self-starter with a proactive approach, capable of anticipating challenges and developing solutions ahead of time
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while delivering results
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare solutions development, consulting, or a similar field
- Familiarity with partner performance management and scorecard development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues for support
