Overview:
SageSure is seeking an experienced Director of Catastrophe Operations who is passionate about being there for our customers at their time of greatest need. You will be responsible for the direction of Catastrophe claims leaders in a coordinated effort to ensure our claims handling follows all outlined guidelines as well as supporting leadership in achieving key performance indicators. Additionally, you will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the team’s claims performance. As the Director of Catastrophe, you will also be responsible for the support of CAT planning, preparation, oversight, guidance, and results.
What you’d be doing:
- Provide support and guidance on catastrophe response, directing and leading the Catastrophe leadership team to ensure coordination of all resources necessary to have a successful response.
- Oversee performance – provided support and guidance on the achievement of key claims performance metrics.
- Directly oversee catastrophe claims managers who each lead a team of 5-6 adjusters.
- Coordinate and guide the handling of small to complex losses, including litigated losses.
- Provide performance management, administration, training and development, and coaching to leadership as needed.
- Provide customer feedback and complaint resolution when needed.
- Provide consistent communication with the claim’s leaders as well as external partners that reinforce the department’s vision and goals.
- Effectively lead the department in employee recruitment and staff planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Claims Operations leadership team to leverage internal and external resources that will support the overall Catastrophe response.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 10+ years P&C experience
- 7+ years property claims experience
- 5+ years of claims leadership experience
- Large loss handling or leadership experience
- Litigation handling or leadership experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adjuster licensed or meets requirement for licensing in applicable states
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Extensive catastrophe claim handling or response planning experience
- Professional designations
- Leadership experience leading other manager level employees
