The Director of Business Operations is a pivotal player-coach role, balancing strategic leadership
with hands-on involvement to drive operational excellence across the organization. This position
places significant focus on the management, oversight, and outputs of the Interventional
Solutions data team and finished goods supply chain management, ensuring seamless processes
and high-quality service delivery. The role encompasses developing and executing strategies,
optimizing workflows, and fostering collaboration across functions to enhance customer
satisfaction and achieve business objectives. It requires a blend of commercial and technical
expertise, along with a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and
operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement service operations strategies, policies, and guidelines for the business unit to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Serve as an ambassador of business operations, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with global business goals.
- Act as the regional escalation point for service delivery issues, ensuring resolution between customers and internal units.
Operational Excellence
- Lead end-to-end improvement, implementation, and optimization of processes, including logistics, inventory management, and international shipments.
- Champion demand forecasting and implement planning tools to ensure sufficient resources while minimizing costs.
- Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), budgets, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Optimize inventory control to meet demand, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturing operations.
Sales Operations and Performance Management
- Enhance sales processes, driving adoption of global best practices and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Collaborate with sales leaders to define targets, quotas, and KPIs aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Deliver regular executive-level dashboards and reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and market trends to guide data-driven decisions.
- Analyze business data to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and optimize strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships with marketing, medical affairs, finance, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment across departments.
- Act as a key communication leader, fostering collaboration and urgency across the organization.
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional projects or programs that drive significant business impact.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to regional laws and regulations in all operational processes.
- Provide the necessary tools, work environment, and processes to optimally deliver services to customers.
- Continuously improve and adapt operational approaches to meet evolving business needs.
Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, sales enablement, or related fields, with substantial expertise in leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in managing diverse operational workflows, logistics, and inventory control.
- Proven ability to lead and execute large-scale projects that impact top-line or bottom-line results.
- Seasoned leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive regional or global optimization efforts.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex, multi-dimensional challenges.
- Well-established networks within operational and business domains, with strong influence and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in fostering alignment across business functions and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
Working Conditions
Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present in only unusual situations. Physical Requirements Sitting, talking, hearing, and near vision are required over 90% of the time, while walking is required about 10% of the time. Standing is required over 30% of the time. The sense of touch is required 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the time. Bending, twisting, and climbing are required, as is far vision, but only for 10% or less of the time. Low levels of lifting (10 pounds or less) are required about 25% of the time, while medium levels (20 to 40 pounds) of lifting and carrying are required less than 5% of the time. High levels (52 pounds) of lifting are required under 2% of the time.

The base pay range for this position is
Min $176,100 - Max $264,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
