Your role:

  • Drive increased bookings across assigned Program Development team to achieve Company’s overall growth objectives.
  • Develop new and maintain existing client relationships to create new business opportunities.
  • Train and mentor Program Development current associates and new hires
  • Evaluate prospective opportunities; identify information, therapeutic expertise and resourcing requirements; analyse and assess opportunities to determine fit between the client’s needs and company capabilities; secure and allocate needed resources for the development of successful proposals.
  • Participate and assist in developing closing strategies and liaise between key stakeholders to execute upon closing strategies, if needed.
  • Participate in the development of processes to improve and drive efficiencies in lead generation, proposal development and client interaction.
  • Oversee client account plan development and participate in overall strategy discussions.
  • Work with clinical teams and VPs in Program Development to develop outreach campaigns to improve lead generation.
  • Create and present quarterly business reviews on progress of client portfolio and lead creation.
  • Ensures VPs of Program Development are updated on all current opportunities.
  • Meet or exceeds all goals and objectives.
  • Identify industry trends, attend industry conferences and trade shows, and develop competitive intelligence to distribute to team members; develop solutions to address competitive market.
  • Travel to Sponsor locations with team members or solo to develop relationships and follow up on potential opportunities.
  • Perform outreach to various site networks to build relationships.
  • Manage and build out potential site networks.
  • Report and update VPs of Program Development on potential sites for upcoming opportunities.
  • Comply with applicable national and international laws, regulations, including, but not limited to:
  • GxP (Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs))
  • Company policies, standard operating procedures, operating guidelines, and other written instructions


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientifically related area. Graduate degree preferred in either the life sciences or business administration (i.e. Ph.D., MBA)                            
  • 10+ years of relevant operational, business development or sales management experience in the research industry
  • Good negotiation skills                            
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, verbal, writing, and oral presentation skills.  
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce®
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel to 50% will be required for this position
