Job Summary
Responsible for managing and directing the overall Marketing and Sales effort in a multi-system environment as it relates to the deployment of new products and enhancements. Assists Marketing leadership with business planning in order to lead the Marketing team in preparing the department budget. Ensures that communication of current initiatives, promotions and campaigns are accurately, timely and effectively communicated to all appropriate personnel at all levels and departments. Serves as liaison between Region, Division, Corporate and system marketing personnel to ensure that each group is informed of most recent product marketing developments and plans. Provides leadership and direction for team which may include multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategy for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget.

About the Role
Comcast Advertising is seeking a Director of Brand Strategy to lead the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies that elevate the profiles of our portfolio brands and drive business impact. This highly visible leadership role is ideal for an experienced brand marketing professional with 7-10 years in the media, advertising, or ad tech space, who brings both strategic vision and operational excellence.
This role reports directly to the VP of Brand Strategy and Sales Marketing at Comcast Advertising and will play a critical role in shaping the long-term direction of our brand presence in the market.
As Director of Brand Strategy, you will be critical in shaping the brand narrative, positioning, and market presence of Comcast Advertising and its sub-brands, with a heightened focus on Universal Ads. You will lead brand strategy across all marketing touchpoints, driving consistency, differentiation, and alignment with business priorities. This includes overseeing campaign development, brand architecture, strategic messaging, and cross-channel execution - all in close partnership with product marketing, sales marketing, demand generation, communications, sales, and creative teams.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead the Development of Brand Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that supports business growth, increases awareness, and strengthens brand equity.
- Own Brand Positioning & Narrative: Define and evolve brand positioning and messaging frameworks to ensure consistency across all channels and customer touchpoints. Translate complex product capabilities into compelling brand stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Campaign Leadership: Oversee the creation and execution of integrated brand campaigns that reinforce positioning and support go-to-market priorities. Ensure all campaigns are insight-driven, measurable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Serve as a key strategic partner to marketing, sales, creative, communications, product, and executive teams. Drive alignment across departments and ensure brand strategy is infused into all customer-facing initiatives.
- Brand Governance: Establish and manage brand guidelines and systems that promote consistency and clarity in brand expression across the organization.
- Marketplace Insights & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive developments, and customer needs. Leverage insights to refine brand strategy, uncover opportunities, and develop thought leadership platforms.
- Events & Industry Partnerships: Shape the brand's presence at owned and industry events, ensuring messaging and design are fully aligned with broader brand and business goals. Act as a senior partner in councils, advisory boards, and industry collaborations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior brand team members, providing clear direction, coaching, and development opportunities. Help build a high-performing, insights-led brand strategy function.
- Executive-Level Reporting: Track brand performance, develop KPIs, and deliver regular updates to senior stakeholders to demonstrate impact and guide ongoing investment.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in brand strategy, brand marketing, or integrated marketing, preferably in media, advertising, or ad tech
- Proven success leading brand positioning, messaging development, and multi-channel campaign strategy
- Exceptional strategic thinking and storytelling ability; able to distill complexity into clear, compelling narratives
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable working with and influencing executive stakeholders
- Experience working with creative, events, PR, and demand generation teams
- High degree of independence, initiative, and accountability
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Experience with brand measurement, research, and analytics a plus
