THE ROLE

We are looking for a Director, Brand Marketing and Communications to join our team in Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the brand strategy & tone of voice — including partnerships, activations, events, community-building, and PR — to promote AG1, enhance our reputation, and establish our brand’s role in broader culture. This role will sit on the European leadership team and be a part of a global Communications team, with a primary focus on the U.K. DACH along with other key expansion markets. You will work closely with partners on Growth Marketing and Creative as part of an integrated European Marketing team. 

This is a highly collaborative role that requires someone with vision and passion for building. The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker, exceptional writer, and natural connector — and has the ability to make both an immediate impact and build the roadmap to see through a long-term vision. Most importantly: you have a genuine passion to empower people to take ownership of their health through a focus on nutrition. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and implement brand marketing and communication strategies that are aligned with the AG1 brand and business objectives. 
  • Partner closely with the global Communications team to nurture media relationships across the region, working directly with media outlets as well as our network of PR agencies.
  • Translate the global Partnership and Community strategies to your markets, building a network of relationships that build the depth and breadth of AG1 in contemporary sporting and creative culture.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Brand and Creative, as well as Research, Nutrition & Innovation (RNI) to guide alignment of AG1 brand messages and strategies, as well as consistency in brand tone across all external comms initiatives. 
  • Create and influence compelling brand content platforms to drive AG1’s brand narrative, including campaign development, social and editorial content, and press materials. 
  • Manage and empower thought leaderships for our team of doctors, scientists, and researchers, as well as leadership in the team. 
  • Manage AG1 Europe’s PR function day-to-day, including managing our brand PR agency, writing press releases and talking points, managing ongoing media opportunities, and coordinating with our affiliate team. 
  • Work with geographic partners to lead local communications and media approaches in key geos (UK, DACH, China, etc.), further AG1’s reputation and brand goals globally.
  • Alongside the Brand team, build and manage an ongoing 12-24 month roadmap of storytelling opportunities. 
  • Build an AG1 VIP practice to maintain relationships with celebrity, professional, and high-profile fans, and ensure their experience with the brand and product are seamless. 
  • With the Customer Happiness and social teams, manage public brand responses to questions and comments, including crisis response. 
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of Brand Communication efforts using key metrics, such as brand awareness, audience engagement, and perception analysis. 
  • Monitor and analyze brand perception, market trends, and competitive activities to proactively maintain AG1’s leadership position. 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years of experience, with a proven track record of working with high-growth CPG brands to actively build the brand’s perception and relationship with customers. 
  • A natural connector who is passionate about empowering health ownership, and excited to participate in a broader cultural conversation around health, wellness, sport, and personal growth.
  • A constant learner who asks rather than assumes, and is excited to learn deeply about nutrition from experts, including the doctors, scientists, and researchers on our team and Scientific and Medical Advisory Council. 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a “no task too small” attitude. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to various voices, audiences, and communication channels. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is £92,700 - £107,100 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
