Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Technology, GB / CE & MENA, this leader will be a strategic
member of the Regional Digital Technology Leadership Team, as well as the GB Regional President SLT.
The Digital Technology Director - GB will partner with all required key stakeholders to build and
execute the strategic digital agenda for this region. This leader will be responsible for prioritizing
initiatives within the region while ensuring a unified approach to successful implementations and
driving positive business outcomes. Together with all relevant stakeholders this leader will also codevelop the digital strategy for the region, prioritize investments and ensure global programs land
successfully with the right change management oversight.
The Digital Technology Director - GB will drive the technology and digital transformation agenda with
a focus on enhancing customer experience, drive profitable growth through commercial, agriculture,
manufacturing, and supply chain transformation initiatives. This leader should be a strategic thinker, a
trusted partner to the GB Regional President and the Region Senior Leadership Team and an inspiring
leader who can drive the adoption of new technologies, data-driven solutions, focused on talent
development and building a winning culture.
Job responsibilities:

  • Business technology strategy development: In partnership with the Regional President for GB and the Regional Senior Leadership Team, co-create our digitally enabled business strategy and respective investment roadmap, working with key stakeholders across the region to identify opportunities to improve growth and profitability, and achieve our goals for the region.
  • Provide thought leadership and future-oriented strategy: Proactively address opportunities in the external environment to bring best practices with market-leading insights. Lead strategic discussions to drive and enhance our capability in digital, data & technology for the GB region. Be a change agent and advocate for evolving and advancing new opportunities and improving processes across the business.
  • Build strategic and trusted partnerships across McCain within and outside the Digital
  • Technology organization: Build all relevant relationship and partnership with all key stakeholders required to drive and implement the Digital Technology strategy and respective goals and objectives for the GB Region.
  • Lead and develop a future-ready and engaged team of digital technology professionals to design and deliver technology solutions that support the strategic goals of the Region. Establish a clear vision, create an atmosphere of trust, and leverage diverse views. Coach and mentor Digital Technology team members inside and outside his/her direct organization to learn and develop skills and new experiences.
  • Partner across the Global Digital Technology Organization delivery, development, and support teams to implement capabilities and solutions connected to our overall business strategy. Leverage best practices from other regions and maximize enterprise scale to drive global digital technology solutions, improving customer experience, focus on design thinking, scalability, stability, cost-effective solutions, and ensuring the right change management and a successful deployment in the region. Lead with a commitment to teamwork and building successful relationships across the organization.
  • Lead transformation by adopting cross-functional new ways of working across region. Embrace a Product Based Model approach, an agile and learn-fast culture that promotes continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation. Measure value and identify future opportunities to continuously enhance our business.
  • Promote a culture of a data-driven organization across the region, working closely with the Data, Analytics & AI organization in the CE/GB Region to lead the movement to global data platforms and the enablement of data driven / algorithm-based processes and decision making within the region.
  • Portfolio management and value creation: Work closely with the Global Technology PMO to define and prioritize a portfolio of digital enablers and capabilities to achieve our business objectives for the region. Manage an overall portfolio of regional initiatives, set priorities, and align with regional and global teams to successfully deliver value and positive business outcomes. Connect strategy to execution and achieve results as a cohesive team.
  • Budget and Financial oversight associated with the investments and respective running costs (CAPEX / OPEX) of all related application development and support, required infrastructure needs, people costs (internal / external) in scope for this role.
  • Integrate affiliated entities systems into McCain as required to support the overall roadmap and business strategy for the company, while managing cyber and operational risks associated with the integration of these new entities in our technology eco-system.
  • Security & Privacy: Ensure that delivered solutions have robust security and privacy by design and all required compliance and controls to ensure that we deliver solutions through a compliant and secure operation.

  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills with partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of McCain GB business and respective goals and objectives for the region, proactively contributing to the success of the overall business in the region.
  • Create a high-performing Digital Technology future-ready organization embracing a growth mindset and focus on how Digital, Data & Technology can be a competitive advantage for GB.
  • Inspire cross-functional teams to deliver results together as one team with common objectives.
  • Establish external connections to continuously learn and apply industry trends that add value to McCain's strategy.
  • Create aligned and connected roadmap of capabilities and initiatives working with Global Digital Technology and Business Functions.
  • Demonstrates ability to set clear objectives, develop roadmaps, anticipate risks, measure performance, and evaluate results.


Key Qualification Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience, Graduate level desirable (MBA)
  • 15 + years' experience as a Technology leader, ideally in similar roles at the same or bigger scale.
  • Proven experience working on large scale technology programs and digital transformation initiatives, preferably in CPG, Food Service, QSR or Retail industries.
  • Experience leading programs enabled with technologies including SAP, Salesforce, Manufacturing & Quality systems, and Data & Advanced Analytics / AI solutions.
  • Solid experience developing and delivering a connected digital and business strategy in a global or large, complex region.
  • Experience in partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple functions in order to drive a Digital Technology transformation across the business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills working at all levels of the organization. Ability to negotiate with both internal and external groups and gain trust to align opportunities for overall success.
  • Previous experience in setting up a high-performing Digital Technology future-ready organization.
