About the role:
We’re searching for Product Managers who thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment looking to solve complex problems with elegant and innovative solutions. Gartner BuySmart, is a SaaS application aimed at disrupting enterprise software purchasing, one of the largest markets in the world. You would be joining as an early team member, with the brand establishment and resourcing of a publicly traded company.
What You’ll Do:
- Bring product priorities to life through a clear articulation of a user’s journey, behaviors, needs, and pain points.
- Lead the product lifecycle from discovery, through design, development and in-market iterations.
- Partner closely with Product Design during UX / Design reviews and provide candid, constructive, and clear feedback backed with customer insights.
- Own the entire user story process, from creation through acceptance.
- Partner closely with Engineering for technical solutions and the feasibility of product designs.
- Write customer-facing product copy in branded tone and voice to help users navigate a complex business process.
- Collaborate with customer success, product marketing, and sales to ensure a world class experience continues beyond the four corners of the product experience.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Understand customer and business needs and synthesize opportunities.
- Integrate input from multiple channels – including customer interviews, industry research and stakeholder requests – into product priorities and requirements.
- Prioritize projects and features based on impact and alignment with the team’s long-term goals and strategy.
- Serve as product owner, providing direction to various scrum teams of engineers, UX, data scientists, etc.
- Collaborate with scrum team to design, build, launch and assess MVPs.
- Analyze MVP and experiment data and synthesize into findings and actionable insights.
- Establish a vision and roadmaps, providing visibility to business and technical stakeholders.
What you’ll need:
- Engineering Degree with business background preferred; MBA/MS (preferred but not mandatory)
- 3+ years as a product manager
- Self-motivated and comfortable with a fast-paced startup environment.
- Comfortable managing continuous product development cycles and first-to-market product innovation lifecycles.
- Strong ability to synthesize both qualitative and quantitative insights for decision rationale.
- Adept in translating user and business needs into functional requirements.
- Hands-on experience working with designers and engineers.
- Well versed at iteratively shipping products using agile methodologies.
- Experienced with design tools such as Sketch or Figma.
- Knowledge of design systems.
- Deep curiosity and advocate for exceptional user experiences.
- Highly effective communicator, written and verbal, to both customers and internal audiences.
- Excellent analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 92,000 USD - 130,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
