The Digital Procurement Project Manager plays a crucial role in supporting and co-leading digital transformation initiatives within the procurement function. This position is responsible for assisting in managing project lifecycles, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. The ideal candidate will contribute to their own digital procurement projects and collaborate effectively as part of larger, cross-functional project teams. By leveraging advanced technologies and innovative strategies, the Digital Procurement Project Manager ensures the successful implementation of solutions that enhance procurement efficiency, optimize spend management, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Progress Tracking: Monitor project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular status reports and updates for stakeholders and senior management, highlighting key progress, issues, and action items.

  • Risk Identification: Assist in identifying project risks and issues, and support the development of mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project team.

Process Improvement and Innovation

  • Support Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization within digital procurement and assist in implementing best practices.

  • Technology Utilization: Aid in the integration and utilization of digital tools and technologies to enhance procurement activities and data management.

Communication and Coordination

  • Effective Communication: Support the development and implementation of communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed about project initiatives and progress.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, supply chain, and other departments to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

The minimum base salary is 2833 EUR and can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.

What You Offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the procurement or supply chain domain. Experience in supporting digital transformation projects is highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, spend analysis, and supplier management.

  • Familiarity with digital procurement tools and technologies, e-sourcing platforms, and data integration/visualization tools.

  • Strong ability to execute project tasks efficiently and effectively, ensuring project objectives are met.

  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to support informed decision-making.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting team members and contributing to collective success.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities and technologies.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or similar procurement-related certifications preferred.
