The Digital Marketing Manager’s primary responsibility is to execute effective digital marketing strategies to promote Rio’s offerings, enhance and optimize its online presence, and drive revenue. The role works closely with but is not limited to: Brand Marketing and Creative Services, Leisure Sales, CRM, Casino Marketing, and 3rd party agencies to develop impactful media campaigns, drive website traffic, increase brand awareness, and support business objectives.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Website Management:
    • Collaborate with web and creative teams to ensure all website information is up-to-date, user-friendly, on-brand, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
    • Work with Director of Digital Marketing to implement strategies to drive website traffic and improve conversion rates. Ensure accuracy of third-party website listings.
       
  • Campaign Creation and Roadmap Management:
    • Strategize and develop campaigns for paid media inclusive of digital, print, and out of home channels in collaboration with Brand, Leisure Sales, and Casino Marketing teams as well as external agency partners.
    • Responsible for generating creative briefs and placing creative orders for a variety of assets to drive Rio awareness, website traffic and conversions, event attendance, and revenue.
    • Monitor deadlines and stay ahead of upcoming events and campaigns.
       
  • Advertising Analytics, Reporting, and 3rd Party Management:
    • Responsible for generating reports on key performance indicators on a regular basis, as well as providing insights to support future improvements.
    • Maintain and actualize advertising budgets and report on digital ad performance.
    • Communicate regularly with digital media agency to support property activation calendar and hotel promotions.
    • Manage media partner dashboards, as well as place and maintain ads & promoted business listings such as Expedia travel ads, Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Yelp.
       
  • Collaborative Initiatives:
    • Work closely with internal teams to align digital marketing efforts with all business goals.
    • Support development of social media content including caption writing, content planning, and content creation in collaboration with the Marketing team.
    • Support digital reputation and customer service on social media channels, able to effectively determine when escalation is needed to Hotel Operations for timely assistance.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Keep abreast of Digital Marketing trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to suggest innovative strategies and tactics.
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing, preferably with a hotel, casino, or related hospitality brand.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of WordPress Content Management System; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Advertising best-practices, metrics and sizes; platform dashboards; Google Docs, Google Business Listings and Google Analytics as well as hotel booking engines and familiarity with Tableau.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva a plus.
  • Familiarity with all popular social media platforms, best practices, capabilities, and related advertising tools.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to write and effectively prepare engaging website copy, social media copy, emails, presentations and more that are on brand, concise, and dynamic for both internal and guest facing mediums.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as digital reporting, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to professionally respond to inquiries or complaints from guests, employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Preferred:

  • BA in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.

Work is performed in an office environment and throughout the property in all locations.  Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  A casino environment typically allows smoking.

Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests is necessary.  Requires prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.  Requires bending and reaching. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires eye/hand coordination.  Requires use of standard office equipment. Requires basic math.  Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.   Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.

PAY RANGE

  • The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000/annual.
