Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Digital Copywriter to join our growing B2C Marketing team, to craft compelling and impactful copy across a wide range of campaign touchpoints. 

Reporting into the Director of Copy, the Digital Copywriter will be responsible for developing engaging, brand-consistent messaging for Out of Home (OOH), Broadcast Video on Demand (BVOD), radio, social media (paid and organic), eDMs, the company website, campaign landing pages, some PR materials, activations and presentation decks. 

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all copy meets the highest creative standards while driving engagement, brand awareness, and conversion across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Copy Development

    • Develop clear, persuasive, and on-brand copy for various campaign touchpoints, including OOH, BVOD, radio, social media (paid and organic),eDMs and the company website.

    • Collaborate with designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure copy aligns with the visual direction and overall campaign objectives.

    • Write and optimize campaign landing pages to enhance user experience and drive conversion.

  • Social Media and Digital Copy

    • Develop copy for social media channels (both paid and organic) that resonates with target audiences and drives engagement.

    • Adapt messaging to suit different formats and platforms, ensuring the tone and style are appropriate for each channel.

    • Monitor social media trends and incorporate them into copy strategies when applicable.

    • Collaborate with the social media team to ensure timely and impactful copy for scheduled posts, campaigns, and activations.

  •  Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

    • Partner with creative, marketing, and product teams to align messaging with brand guidelines and campaign goals.

    • Work closely with the Director of Copy to receive feedback, revise copy, and ensure all messaging meets the highest creative standards.

    • Assist in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh, innovative ideas for campaigns and initiatives.

    • Contribute to content planning and strategy development.

  • Content Optimization & Brand Consistency

    • Ensure all copy is optimized for both user engagement and SEO across digital touchpoints, including website content and campaign landing pages.

    • Stay informed about industry trends, tone of voice innovations, and best practices in digital and traditional media.

    • Monitor social media trends and incorporate them into copy strategies when applicable.

    • Continuously review and refine copy to ensure it remains aligned with evolving brand objectives and messaging.

  • Campaign Tracking & Performance Evaluation 

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to assess campaign performance through analytics and provide insights for future improvements.

    • Revise and optimize copy based on feedback and performance metrics to improve campaign effectiveness.

  • Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Deliver on individual and set departmental OKR and KPI’s as determined from time to time.

  • Continuous Improvement, Safety and Compliance:

    • Continuously learn from successes and failures to refine and enhance improvement strategies.

    • Actively participate in training (including mandatory training) and professional development sessions to enhance skill set.

    • Observe, understand and comply with all Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Policies, Procedures and directives.

    • Be proactive and responsible for own actions, and adhere to compliance requirements relevant to your position (eg. legislation, policy and guidelines).

Qualifications

In addition to these foundations, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Copywriter, with a portfolio demonstrating versatility across different formats (OOH, BVOD, radio, social media, website copy, etc.). 

  • Experience working within an agency or a start up/scale up, writing for various industries or sectors will be considered highly advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms (both paid and organic).

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience in writing for both creative and commercial purposes, balancing brand voice with clear messaging.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a team and across departments.

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital content optimization.

  • Experience in writing press releases, presentation decks, and other corporate communications is preferred.

  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a passion for storytelling and creativity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
