Job purpose:

Join us as a Digital Copywriter with a focus on user experience, and play a crucial role in creating impactful digital content that enhances the user journey across websites, email campaigns, and digital ads. In this role, as part of the Digital Experience team, you'll develop copy that not only aligns with our portfolio brands but also enhances user engagement and drives conversions by optimizing the overall digital journey. 

A glimpse into what you will be responsible for:

  • Create UX-focused copy for a variety of digital channels, including websites, email campaign and paid digital ads, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with user journeys.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that content supports an optimized user experience and aligns with overall brand messaging.
  • Write clear, persuasive. and action-oriented copy that drives user engagement and conversions, while maintaining consistency with the brand voice.
  • Ensure that all digital content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and adheres to web accessibility and mobile responsiveness standards.
  • Analyze and report on digital content performance, make data-driven recommendations for improvement, and continually optimize content for improved user experience and engagement.

 Minimum required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. 
  • Extensive experience as a digital copywriter with a focus on website content, email marketing, and paid digital ads.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling, clear, and engaging copy that resonates with target audiences. 
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and how copy integrates with design to create seamless user flows and conversions. 
  • Experience with SEO best practices and optimizing content for both search engines and user experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast –paced environment. 
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
