WRBL is looking for a self-motivated digital content producer to join the top-ranked digital platform in Columbus, Georgia. This role is responsible for updating local websites, curating high-performing content, crafting homepage layouts driven by data, and helping to report news – everything from quick-hit local stories to breaking news stories. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver stories quickly, accurately, and often. The producer will consistently seek to grow the audience and social media base.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor all forms of media (print TV, Digital, blogs and social) and be quick to report breaking news stories and always on the hunt for exclusive and or trending content that will grow engagement and drive loyal, local traffic.
•Keep up with industry trends and innovations in digital streaming to ensure channels remain competitive and relevant.
• Provide creative input and ideas to enhance the channel’s content and viewer experience.
• Promote and distribute news content on social media.
• Tracks stories from all sources including government agencies, wire services, and community groups.
• Build positive working relationships with newsroom staff and management, work collaboratively on enterprise content, and create opportunities to market web content on broadcast.
• Perform all other duties assigned
Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years’ experience
• Integrated Media
• Very strong writing skills (AP style)
• Word Press Experience
• Social Media Management
• Digital Focused
• Has experience working in a Newsroom
