KIII 3NEWS in Corpus Christi, Texas — the dominant station in South Texas — is looking for a smart, dynamic, and innovative DIGITAL ANCHOR/MSJ to be the face of our streaming platform, 3NEWS+.
This isn’t your typical anchor job. We’re looking for someone who thrives in live, unscripted environments, can ad lib during breaking news without missing a beat, and has a sharp editorial sense that earns viewer trust.
You’ll anchor daily digital coverage, help us grow our streaming and YouTube audiences, and take the lead in creating compelling long-form content — while also filling in on our broadcast newscasts.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Anchor live, breaking, and developing news coverage on 3NEWS+ and digital platforms.
• Launch creative, compelling daily content for viewers on mobile, desktop, and connected TV.
• Pitch, produce, shoot and edit multi-part long-form series on in-depth, enterprise stories
• Fill in on broadcast evening newscasts (5p, 6p, and 10p) when needed.
• Work closely with our Digital Director to curate and grow the 3NEWS+ experience.
• Experiment with vertical video storytelling to reach mobile-first audiences.

Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years on-air experience
• Calm, credible presence in breaking news situations with strong editorial judgment
• Excellent ad-libbing and live anchoring skills
• Journalism and/or Mass Communication degree (preferred)
• Texas/regional knowledge is a plus
• vMix experience is a plus
