As a remote Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) at Included Health, you will deliver personalized disease management within our virtual primary care and care and case management service offerings. Using a patient-centered, biopsychosocial approach, you will develop individualized care plans that integrate lifestyle pillars such as nutrition, movement, sleep, stress resilience, and social connectivity. You will empower patients to set sustainable goals, evaluate progress, and adapt strategies. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure continuity of care and provide support for patients, including those facing oncology-related challenges. Additionally, you may lead virtual group classes on nutrition and lifestyle topics, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to enhance patient outcomes.


*The position requires experience in an outpatient setting, as well as experience in oncology care.*

Responsibilities:

  • Virtual Nutritional Counseling: Deliver personalized nutrition counseling through our virtual platform to support patients of all ages in managing and preventing chronic conditions, with a particular focus on oncology care.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work within a team-based approach, partnering with physicians, nurses, clinical pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, health coaches and member advocates to integrate nutrition and lifestyle guidance into patient care plans.
  • Patient Engagement: Encourage patient’s health ownership and empowerment by providing tools, resources, support, and education to strengthen intrinsically motivated and informed lifestyle choices. 
  • Shared Decision-Making: Collaborate with patients to create actionable nutrition, lifestyle and supportive environment change plans that align with their health goals, hierarchy of needs, readiness, preferences, skills, and emotional and environmental circumstances. 
  • Caregiver’s Support: Counseling on this essential component when patients face appetite and weight loss issues during the course of treatments. 
  • Group Class Instruction: Conduct virtual group classes on nutrition and lifestyle topics related to chronic disease prevention/management intersecting with a harmonious relationship with food and body. 
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to the continuous enhancement of our nutritional services by providing feedback and innovative ideas.
  • Provide compassionate and empathetic care. Deliver compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families during challenging times, fostering trust and understanding.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. 
  • Multiple state licenses are ideal, and the willingness and ability to obtain licensure in additional states is required. 
  • 5 -7+ years of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in outpatient settings
  • Experience in oncology care
  • Board-Certification in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) is valued

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

  • Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
  • Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs of force (e.g., lifting a computer \/ laptop) may be required.
  • Capability to work with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.

The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:


Zone A: $73,700 - $95,810 + equity + benefits 

Zone B: $84,755 - $110,180 + equity + benefits 

Zone C: $92,125 - $119,760 + equity + benefits 

Zone D: $95,810 - $124,559 + equity + benefits 


This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.


Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations. Your Recruiter can share details of your geographic alignment upon inquiry.


In addition to receiving a competitive base salary, the compensation package may include, depending on the role, the following:
