We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security practices into our customer's software development lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with development, security and operations teams to ensure our customer's applications are secure, scalable and proficient.
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Design, implement, and manage security tools and practices across the development pipeline, ensuring adherence to DevSecOps patterns and practices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to enforce secure coding practices, leveraging AWS cloud security tools (IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, WAF) to enhance security posture.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities within applications and infrastructure, applying AWS security techniques and Terraform best practices.
- Automate security testing and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines using DevOps automation tools such as Terraform and GitHub Actions.
- Guide security best practices for cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot security-related issues, ensuring uptime and response time SLAs/OLAs are met or surpassed.
- Document DevSecOps processes, maintain security platforms, and ensure cloud security configurations are up to date.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong expertise in Terraform, with a deep understanding of DevOps patterns and practices.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud security, including IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, and WAF.
- 5+ years of experience in a related role, preferably in DevSecOps or Cloud Security.
- Comprehensive technical expertise with DevSecOps toolkits, including Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Black Duck, and Git/Version Control Software.
- Proficiency in DevOps automation with Terraform, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
- Moderate coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for security automation.
- General background in Linux and/or Windows system/network/infrastructure administration.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, with broader experience in security practices.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate security concepts effectively across different organisational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification.
- CISM, CISSP or other security certifications
- Auditing and compliance certifications such as CISA, PCI-ISA and PCIP
