Job Description: L3 Cloud Devops Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Cloud Devops Lead to join our team. This role requires extensive experience in cloud platforms (especially Azure), advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members. As an L3 Engineer, you will act as the final escalation point for critical issues and play a key role in designing and optimizing infrastructure and application environments.

Key Responsibilities

Authentication (OAuth2):

  1. Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex OAuth2 authentication issues, including token generation, expiration, and scope management.
  2. Design and optimize authorization flows between clients, APIs, and third-party services.

Azure Synapse Pipelines:

  1. Oversee the support and optimization of Azure Synapse Pipelines for data integration, transformation, and ETL processes.
  2. Resolve high-impact pipeline failures, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.
  3. Provide recommendations for best practices in configuring linked services and integration runtimes.

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS):

  1. Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for AKS-based applications, focusing on pods, deployments, scaling, and networking.
  2. Monitor and proactively optimize AKS environments for performance and resource utilization.
  3. Conduct detailed root cause analyses and recommend long-term solutions for recurring issues.

Cloud Platform Expertise:

  1. Act as a subject matter expert for Azure cloud services, providing guidance and technical leadership to the team.
  2. Hands-on experience with Azure, including PowerShell and Bicep scripting for automation.

CI/CD and Version Control:

  1. Define and implement CI/CD best practices using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
  2. Manage complex version control workflows using Git and provide mentoring on branching and merging strategies.

Scripting and Automation:

  1. Develop advanced scripts using Bash, Python, or Ruby to automate complex operational tasks.
  2. Review, optimize, and maintain existing automation scripts, ensuring they align with organizational standards.

Configuration Management and IaC:

  1. Lead the adoption of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to ensure consistency and reliability.
  2. Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

Containerization and Orchestration:

  1. Provide expertise in managing Docker containers and Kubernetes environments, including advanced configurations and optimizations.
  2. Mentor team members on best practices for container orchestration and deployment strategies.

General Support:

  1. Act as the final escalation point for critical technical issues, driving resolution and preventing recurrence.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
  3. Document advanced troubleshooting steps, issue resolutions, and technical best practices.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  1. Mentor L1 and L2 engineers, providing technical guidance and training.
  2. Participate in technical reviews, providing insights and feedback to improve team performance.
  3. Lead by example in fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Skills:

  1. Advanced certifications in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert).
  2. Extensive experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  3. Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions.
  4. Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on driving proactive solutions.
  5. Experience Range: 8-10 years in cloud and infrastructure support roles.
  6. Technical Expertise: Azure, AKS, Kubernetes, PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform, KQL, Python.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with global teams



Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years

Qualifications

B-Tech/BE or equivalent (Preferred)
