This role will work closely with DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers and Quality Engineers to build and maintain a highly reliable secure development and hosting cloud infrastructure that will support the company’s suite of 24/7 web applications. You will develop automated solutions using technologies including AWS, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes and Terraform to automatically build, test, integrate, and deploy complex, modern microservice based applications to multiple environments.
- Configure and maintain resources on AWS
- Work within Scrum teams to enable the delivery of new product features
- Maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes (helm) and Jenkins
- Manage security groups and access controls
- Build and maintain new environments as needed to support development, testing and release management requirements
- Implement monitoring and automation where needed to proactively prevent issues and improve uptime
- Ensure infrastructure adheres to the company’s security requirements
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support of hosting infrastructure
- Use ticket management system such as Jira to manage work priorities
- Be highly responsive when on call to issues being reported from the field
- Articulate and communicate complex technical ideas to non-DevOps colleagues
- Demonstrate 5+ years relevant DevOps experience
- Strong understanding of hosting and resource management (cpu, memory, storage, security, networking, I/O etc.)
- Strong proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes and Jenkins
- Hands-on experience with configuring and maintaining resources on AWS
- Hands on experience with source code management systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Linux and administration
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Experience with and a strong understanding of security best practices
- Strong familiarity with Java/Spring Boot and PostgreSQL database stack
- Experience with Atlassian tooling including Jira and Confluence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A degree in Computer Science, or a related subject is beneficial

The Interview Process:
Every role starts the same, an introductory call with someone from our Talent Acquisition team. We will be looking for company and values-fit as well as your professional experience; there may be some technical role-specific questions during this call.
Every role is different after the initial call, but you can expect to meet several people from the team 1:1 and there might be further skill assessments in the form of a Take Home Assignment/Case Study Presentation or Pair Programming/Live Coding exercise depending on the role. In your initial call, we will walk you through exactly what to expect the process to be.
