DevOps Engineer
Remote (UK Only)
The Opportunity
The DevOps Engineer is actively involved in the implementation and support of build and deployment software solutions in support of the full engineering team. You will participate in the automated creation and maintenance of the Cloud Infrastructure to support our projects.
The role will involve:
- Promoting DevOps practices within engineering
- Collaborating with the wider Solutions teams in various projects and initiatives
- Communication across teams, both technical and non-technical
- Designing and maintaining configuration and automation tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Participating in code reviews and validation for the development teams
- Implementing effective monitoring across our systems
- Assisting engineering in troubleshooting system and software issues in all environments, including root cause analysis
About You
To be successful as the DevOps Engineer you will have proven experience as a DevOps or Junior DevOps engineer. You will be experienced in DevOps practices with knowledge of Agile methodologies and tooling.
You will also have/be:
- Experience in
- Azure
- CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps pipelines)
- ARM templates
- IaaS
- PaaS
- Networking
- Database
- Scripting language
- Monitoring
- Some experience in AWS
- Understanding of the latest DevOps tools, technologies and best practices
- Ideally a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (MCAAA) or equivalent experience
- Ideally a technical certifications (Azure or similar)
- Ability to communicate with team and peers
- Experience producing standard technical and process outputs, reports and other documents from templates
- Experience in using ticket systems (e.g. Jira)
- Experience in using code repositories (e.g. Github or Azure Repos)
