Job Overview
For our Lugano Branch (TI) we are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team for an exciting banking project focused on System Integration. In this role, you will be instrumental in integrating external systems with our client's internal systems.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on critical integration projects within the banking sector, utilizing your expertise in DevOps methodologies, Unix Shell scripting, and system integration tools. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline system integration and operational tasks
- Enhance deployment workflows by implementing efficient configuration management and orchestration strategies
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery speed, reliability, and scalability
- Ensure seamless software integration by managing configuration, troubleshooting compatibility issues, and optimizing performance
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain system stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and deliver innovative, effective solutions
- Leverage expertise in data and system integration to optimize business intelligence workflows and database interactions
- Maintain clear and effective communication, providing documentation and support for a global team and client base
Qualifications and Skills:
- Scientific bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably computer science or engineering or equivalent work experience
- Strong Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools
- Familiarity with Tomcat for web application deployment and experience with Azure Cloud for cloud-based services and infrastructure management
- Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning is a plus
- Familiarity with Bash / Unix Shell would be and advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian
Location Requirement
- We do not offer a fully remote work policy
- Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino (Switzerland)
- Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
