Summary Description:
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who thrives in high-velocity environments and is passionate about automation, scalability, and security. This role focuses on managing and optimising our Windows-based Genesys Latitude application in AWS, ensuring reliability and performance across cloud infrastructure, systems, and databases. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code, automating deployments, and implementing security best practices.
In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions while continuously improving system performance and deployment processes. If you excel in managing AWS-based Windows environments, SQL Server databases, and CI/CD pipelines—and enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges—this role is for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Administer and optimize Windows-based systems in AWS environments to ensure reliability and performance.
- Manage SQL Server databases in AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Automate deployment pipelines and workflows for seamless software delivery.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, application, and database issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into efficient technical solutions.
- Implement security best practices across cloud, systems, and databases.
- Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and deployment processes.
Key requirements:
- 5 year+ experience as DevOps Engineer
- Experience managing MS SQL Server in AWS environments
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong experience managing and automating Windows-based systems in AWS.
- Experience managing security and compliance on Windows machines in AWS.
You Should Be Comfortable With:
- Agile methodologies, Kanban and structuring your own work
- High-velocity environments: frequent deployments, infrastructure changes.
- Tech stack: AWS, Terraform, Ansible.
- DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitHub, BuildKite).
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or a programming language like Python or Go.
- Monitoring and Logging: AWS CloudWatch, Grafana.
- Ownership: driving infrastructure projects from concept to deployment.
- Communication: discussing complex ideas with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Decision-making: balancing trade-offs and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Work culture: thriving in a fully remote, supportive environment
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Go and/or Python
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- AWS certifications or equivalent qualifications.
