We are looking for a DevOps engineer who can help in IST Time zone. This person will own the deployment of Groupon’s ELK, CICD, monitor and troubleshoot production issues.
Groupon’s Platform team, consisting of 7 departments, creates innovative solution, Keep The Lights On, and help migrating services between cloud provider. This particular DevOPS department has 4 team members already, we are looking for new and experienced addition.
What we are looking for
We are looking for well experienced SDE III, Devops engineer who can look after below responsibilities.
You’ll spend time on the following:

Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines for integration of software components in diverse environments
-
Ability to design CI/CD flows, develop maintainable & extensible code/pipelines
-
Work with and designing automation solutions that scale
-
Design and implement Infrastructure monitoring, alerting, self-heal mechanisms
-
Work in Agile, test-driven development model
-
Work with development teams to implement strong branching and code promotion strategies
-
Perform code reviews and deployments
-
Administering GitHub Enterprise Server including upgrade and maintenance.
-
Exceptional communication skills to address multiple internal and external stakeholders
-
Troubleshoot, profile existing/new implementations for improvements
-
Create technical documentation/ user guides for implemented solutions
-
Excellent communication skills and teamwork is a must
We’re excited about you if you have:

7 Years of expertise with Coding/scripting in one or more Python, Shell, Powershell
-
Should be Familiar with Software Build process (Compilation of code with GNU Make, CMake, Visual Studioetc.)

Proficient with container frameworks: Docker, Docker-compose
-
Strong expertise in at least one of Linux packaging ecosystems - specifically, Debian, RPM, APT, YUM – in one or more Linux distributions – Ubuntu, CentOS, SUSE Linux

Strong expertise in managing at least one of these ecosystems: Gerrit or Github or Github Enterprise

Ability to contribute to code reviews

Ability to administer tools like Jenkins, Artifactory

Ability to work in cross-functional, collaborative environment

Skill in communication both verbal and written

Skill in process analysis and architecting improved processes

Exposure to Kubernetes, Anasible, Terraform is a definite plus.

Exposure to cloud technologies like AWS, GCP

Active participation in open source projects is a definite plus
-
Expertise in setting up the monitoring at enterprise level using Promethous and Grafana is definite plus.
